Summary: We purchased as a house warming gift for our youngest as she becomes a first time home owner. She loves to bake, always trying to get Mom's from her - Mom loves it too much! Versatile with the various attachments you can get for it. Commercial quality, heavy duty unit will last a couple of lifetimes. Powerful tool for any kitchen, get one and you will not be upset.
Summary: Bought from USA I'm in Australia so no warranty[post to expensive].Brand new and it makes a screaching noise on first 2 speeds.Pulled it apart to look at it & try to fix[was that bad],checked bushes first.Other thing was that the rotary gear cover moved up and down about 4-5mm.With back cover removed most of the noise seemed to come from the speed control plate or back motor bush.Going to pull the top cover off I notice that KitchenAid have put square drive tamper proof...
Summary: I had very high hopes for this mixer but it failed to live up to them. I bought the Classic Plus because it had all metal parts, which is I require because I do a lot of bread making. I have had nothing but trouble from the get go. I started with a recipe for a small single loaf, about 4 cups of flour total, just to test it out. The mixer did fine up to about 2 1/2 cups of flour, but once it got over that the head started bobbing up and down.
Summary: Purchased as gift for aspiring chef. Excellent machine for the job, my only complaint is, it is VERY heavy. Difficult to move around from one area to another by yourself. Really needs to be left where you would use it, as I would be afraid of dropping it. My gift receiver complained of this as well, but overall, was thrilled to get it.
Summary: I bought this mixer almost 3 years ago now and I use it from making anything I can think of from dough to cakes/cookies. I have not had any issues with mine and highly recommend this product to anyone whose looking for a great mixer. Although I see the price has gone up a little since I bought it I still find this price to best than all these local stores selling them.
