Summary: At first I was a I was a little apprehensive about purchasing a used mixer but I wanted a KitchenAid so bad but couldn't afford the retail price. I really love the mixer it is very light weight and mixes well and is a nice red color. I am very happy with it.
Poor design, inferior parts. For the way it's made? Ugh.

Summary: I've been using this mixer about 3-4 times a month for about 2 years. Recently, it began making an extremely loud and annoying rattling/squeaking noise. Called KA in MI, out of warranty. (It was purchased in 2008 and received as a gift in 2010) When I opened it up to see if I could refurbish the (cheap plastic) gears, I discovered that the filterless fan that cools the motor sucks whatever dry ingredients you're mixing that aerosolize into the front of the device and...
Summary: I have owned several hand mixers, but I like this one the best. I have other small appliances by KitchedAid and like them all. I love being in the kitchen and having really good products to work with. This one fits the bill. I have had no problems with any of my KitchenAid products. I recommend this mixer.
Summary: All of my small appliances are Kitchenaid. I have a stand mixer but often times just need a quick helper which is why I purchased this hand mixer. I like the constant power mixing thicker substances. I chose this particular mixer because of the simple design and the smooth controls. Also the vents are raised rather than underneath and keep food product from entering the appliance. I am very pleased so far.
Summary: I bought this product because of the great reviews. My wife uses it infrequently but I like quality. It is very nice. It is very strong. It is very quite. In fact it is now silent. It is very broke. The first unit was returned for a replacement because it was noisy after about 1 month. The second unit died after about 5 uses.
The best mixer ever and it is in it for the LONG haul!

Summary: I have had my current Kitchenaid hand mixer since 1987, 23 years. I love this mixer. It has allowed me to not have to drag out the stand mixer. And, I will tell you this mixer gets so much use! I used to be a pastry chef and so I bake ALL the time! It can handle any cookie dough I have done, double cake batter, carrot cake w/nuts. I cannot say enough about it! I am purchasing a new one just because I want a pretty new pink one and the 7 speeds.

Summary: What's not to Like: you've got price, performance and this machine is quiet. My Old Mixer, a Black and Decker (Permit me to insert a little ditty here about Black & Decker. There was time, no so long ago, when Black and Decker was among the most respected brands on the market - well deigned, easy to use and best of all, durable.
