Pros: This machine works fantastic. I purchased it for my wife...turns out I have used it more. Made pizza dough today, perogies are next up and some cinnamon buns. Cleans so easily I pull it out just to mix boxed brownies. Powerful, the timer is nice. I feel better than kitchenaid.
Summary: I seriously considered getting the Kitchen Aid Professional Series, but just could not bite the bullet when it came to spending that kind of money. When ATK rated the Cuisinart #1 I was overjoyed. Plus, I got it though Newegg with a $40 off coupon and a bonus of a food processor attachment.
Pros: Very strong, never gets tired. This was tested by America's Test Kitchen (Cooks Magazine) and was the winner for stand mixers. It did tie with the Kitchen Aid Professional, but it is quite a bit less money, therefore it got the win. I have used mine for over a year and i make a minimum of three l...
Cons: Splash guard feels fragile and is a bit of a pain to get on and off. I wish there were a way to set the timer to go down, instead of just up. It is a little touch sensitive and sometimes I go a minute too far and then have to reset the timer and start again. It would be nice to have it go both ways.
Summary: This is a superior product. I have been casually shopping the more well known brand for years. I changed my mind very quickly to buy this product . I am happy that I did.
Pros: 800 Watt motor Speed settings ramp up to keep you from wearing the ingredients on your face. DVD tutorial for setup, use and several recipies Countdown timer very nice. Fold button turns mixer 1.5 times to add fragile ingredients. At time of purchase, a rebate for a free food processor attachment.
Cons: You must be careful with the splash guard. Putting it on always make me feel like I'm about to break it. It simply fits into two grooves in the head, but it requires more pressure against the plastic than I would expect. Once it snaps into place, it is just fine.
Summary: This mixer is wonderful. I use it once or twice a week to make bread. It handles kneading dough with ease. There is no strain on the 800 watt motor at all. The timer can be set for up to 15 minutes and has an automatic shut off. This is a feature that is very nice to have.
Pros: Automatic timer Powerful motor Sleek elegant styling Three power ports Twelve speeds Splash guard Great warranty
