Summary: I purchased this mixer 8 months ago. In the middle of making a recipe last evening, it quit working. I paid $70.00 expecting it would see me through at least my Christmas, Easter and Fourth of July baking preparations. I should have paid for a cheaper mixer! Don't waste your money on this one, it won't last!
Summary: I originally tried out the KitchenAid 9 speed mixer and it just felt poorly made and didn't feel or sound like it was gonna last long. Quite the opposite with this Cuisinart; very well made mixer casing, mixer blades, etc... The only thing I'd be concerned with is the trigger which ejects the mixers from the mixer. But I'm prolly over-thinking it.
Summary: This mixer is a piece of garbage. Broke after a month. Called Conair to complain about the quality. They informed me that for $20 shipping to them and a new one back to me I could have it replaced. I sent it back( why I spent more money in this garbage I don't know) and the new one was broken on 2 weeks. Don't waste your money.
Summary: I've only used it a couple of times, so far. Easy to use. Only down side is that the slowest speed gives a burst of high speed before it settles down to a tolerable slow speed. The storage bin is awesome for keeping it all together.
Summary: I really like the way all the beaters, dough hooks, etc can be stored along with the mixer in the case. Makes for neat storage. It is a powerful mixer too. My only complaint is the power surge when it is initially turned on. Even at a low setting ( 1 ) I bet the beaters are turning at the power 8 or so. That is the only thing i really dislike about this mixer. I wish this ine thing could be fixed.
