Great sound quality, portable/expandable media, great battery life

I bought this little Sony Minidisc player as an alternative to the iPod. I bought an iPod ($400) that lasted less than a year. Nice. First the scroll wheel broke, then the hard drive crashed. Done with iPods! This device is now retro - it's at least 5 years behind the times. But look at what it does: -Portable 1 GB discs that are encased in a durable plastic shell. Bought this recently to play some old MDs I have and don't have the tracks on any other media. It came in a pack that came with 4 NiMH batteries, charger, case and 5 blank MDs. It is plastic and cheap compared to my old MZR90 and MZR55, but it still sounds fantastic and can use the 1GB HiMD discs. Read more

Mp3 players, look out because Sony is getting it together.

Ive only had the player for one day, but ive already downloaded about 39 albums onto the 3 of the mds ive received with the player. I still have two 80 minute discs to go, and also the 1GB disc! The sound quality on this thing is awesome and the EQ does wonders. There are more features on this than most mp3 players.
