Summary: No speaker control on unit except up & down on volume. No left to right balance. No base or treble control. I get better sound using my 18 year old Aiwa speakers. One plus was my Aiwa subwoofer worked with this component system. They want another $100 for theirs.
Excerpt: This is exactly, exactly what I was hoping for. I needed a small system that I could put on top of my refrigerator that had rich, high-quality sound and that didn't cost too much. I got everything with this Yamaha mimi-system. I am so impressed with the amazing bass this thing puts out.
Pros: Clear Sound, Easy To Set Up, Good Remote, Thundering Bass
Excellent product with a little minus for the remote control

Summary: I like everything at this product (excellent sound, easy to use and install). I do not like at all the remote control because it is not well finished. It has a sort of an adesive covering the plastic and in time it will sure be destroyed even on normal use.
Pros: Clear Sound, Easy To Set Up, Intuitive Controls
Summary: So far so good...I've had this system for about a month now and I'm very happy with the purchase...the components are a little deeper than I would have liked (need a fairly wide shelf to put it on so they don't overhang...check the dimensions..
Summary: Crystal clear and powerful (for it's size), the Yamaha MCR-232BL Micro Component System is a worthy investment if you are looking for big sound in a small package. Adding a sub-woofer only enhances the experience, as the low-end (though impressive) does not quite get as deep as a larger system...
Summary: Have gone from a full-system stereo (Denon CD changer, Marantz receiver, Mirage speakers, etc.) to this. Was dubious I would enjoy it, but am downsizing to smaller residence and need living space!
Summary: Such amazing sound out of this little system it doesn't seem right! Thought I would get the subwoofer, but don't need it as far as I'm concerned. My wife docks her IPod in it and it works great, as does my old iPhone 3, which I stream music to via our Wi-Fi. CD player and radio work great too.
