Summary: I love it. It is attractive, small, streamlined in appearance, great sound. The only problem I had with it was following the directions in the pamphlet for "Automatic preset tuning." Just wouldn't work. So instead I followed the instructions below that for "Manual preset tuning," and it worked like a charm. Very happy with this purchase.
Summary: This is just what I wanted. I was looking for .something that had a better sound than a boom box.and yet didnt take up much room It has a great sound and was so easy to put together and start playing my cd's I highly recomend this to someone who want's to listen to cds with a good sound. I might even consider another and have it another room .
Summary: This does everything well. Very well balanced sound, with bass much better than I possibly could have expected. Listening to Hiroshima, my favorite jazz group right now, with the lights off, and...WOW!!! But why should I be surprised it's so good? After all, it's a Yamaha, isn't it?!!
Summary: Although a small bookshelf sound system this unit performs well with its speakers providing authentic sound at all ranges. The components are traditional polished metal on the stereo and wood on the speakers. The system dimensions are rather deep for a bookshelf system so make sure you have enough space to place it on.
Summary: Have been enjoying this unit, but I wouldn't purchase this without the base unit. The sound without the base unit is pretty tiny. I didn't and ended up ordering the base speaker a week later. With the base speaker it performs as expected considering the price. A Bose its not.
Summary: I needed a compact system that would let me run my CD changer through it as an AUX input. The ad said this was possible. So far it has NOT worked. There is a single AUX input not stereo and so far none of the adapters we've tried will allow us to connect the larger CD player. In addition we had to buy an additional antenna just to get the radio part to work.
