Summary: This does everything well. Very well balanced sound, with bass much better than I possibly could have expected. Listening to Hiroshima, my favorite jazz group right now, with the lights off, and...WOW!!! But why should I be surprised it's so good? After all, it's a Yamaha, isn't it?!!
Summary: Although a small bookshelf sound system this unit performs well with its speakers providing authentic sound at all ranges. The components are traditional polished metal on the stereo and wood on the speakers. The system dimensions are rather deep for a bookshelf system so make sure you have enough space to place it on.
Summary: Have been enjoying this unit, but I wouldn't purchase this without the base unit. The sound without the base unit is pretty tiny. I didn't and ended up ordering the base speaker a week later. With the base speaker it performs as expected considering the price. A Bose its not.
Summary: I needed a compact system that would let me run my CD changer through it as an AUX input. The ad said this was possible. So far it has NOT worked. There is a single AUX input not stereo and so far none of the adapters we've tried will allow us to connect the larger CD player. In addition we had to buy an additional antenna just to get the radio part to work.
Summary: We really love the system. We are not experts or audiophiles but needed a good radio, Ipod player and CD player and this one fits the bill. Sound quality is quite good and we have had it 2 months with no problems with playing any of our CDs. We were looking at the Bose system but just didn't want to pay $700 and this , for us, is an excellent substitute.
Summary: I got this stereo system for Christmas. I needed a small one for the available space. This fits perfectly, has good sound, and is easy to use with my Ipod and Ipad. I would heartily recommend it.
