Summary: I gave this stereo a 4 because unlike it's predecessor it doesn't have a cassette player. I would have bought the newer version but it didn't have a 5-disc changer. I had an older version of this model and I wore it out but it lasted me 13 years . My hope is this one will last that long as well. Love this stereo and it has fantastic sound quality.
Summary: what a great system this is!! so happy i got my hands on this because this is a discontinued item and not many new one's out there.it's a huge bulky awesome monster with clear sound and plenty bass.i spent the extra cash and well worth it,all these newer systems can't touch this unless you lay down some serious dough.i'm grateful to say it's mine.i hooked up my laptop to big screen tv out to the muteki and it's just great.play backing tracks off youtube to play my strat...
Summary: I bought this stereo back when i was in CA and shipped it to my home country, The Netherlands. It was pricey, but well worth it! The bass is out of this world. But even without the x-groove on, it's great! Amazing sound, crisp highs and booming lows.
Summary: This stereo system is out of sight! It has everything that you want. The sound is pure, versitile, plays CDs, Ipods, and it connects with my turntable too! So if your looking for a system that gets the party going all night long, i strongly recommend this one. lt will put a smile on your face if your a hardcore music lover.
Summary: Great sound and options to add or take out bass. I had been looking for quite some time for a smaller stereo that also had multiple CD player. My prior one had three and this has five so enjoy that. The only thing is I have a Sony MP3 and I would think they would make the dock to fit their products. Not true. I am currently looking for a converter to enable my MP3 player.
Summary: its really heavy but gives a nice base sound and i like the surround sound function and the fact you can hook up so many other devices.but i would not really call it a shelf unit, more like a home entertainment unit.
Summary: This is indeed a great Stereo! The Radio part has good reception and easy to program your favorite stations into the presets. The CD Player is a drawer type loader so be sure if you have it on a carpeted floor to prop up the unit a bit so the CD Drawer doesn't get caught on the carpet. Cd sound is excellent! Advice for the buyer: The box that this comes in is huge and HEAVY! You need 2 persons to carry it (or a Dolly) as it weighs almost 90 pounds.
Summary: I chose this rating because as I looked into buying a stereo I wanted something that had power, something that had a nice sub-woofer that really brought out a deep bass that didn't sound muddy or distorted, but something clean and powerful that really delivered the punch I was looking for. I also along side that wanted it to bring out the highs and mid's and wouldn't make it sound twangy, or overly exaggerated as I've experienced from other stereo's I've had in the past.
