Summary: I Bought this to connect to my XM receiver. Of course it wont accept stereo audio so that wouldn't work. Horrible instructions and very bad ergonomics. Absolute trash from Sony???????? What is up with that.
Summary: Do not buy as CD player! Skips after 6 months. Annoying demo lights continue incessantly and require remote to turn off, which we no longer have. I donated mine to Goodwill after 8 months. Good riddance!
Summary: I was troubled when my Sony system was ruined by an electrical surge during a recent remodeling project. These are hard to find now that technology has moved on...I personally do not want to down load music to play, I prefer ( like record jackets of 'yesterday') to have the actual CD and cover art in my library. This newer model as 'amped up' the volume with new improved speakers that really deliver. The ad says, "not for living room'..
Summary: I own two of these Sony micro Hi Fi. I had one at home in the living room. I liked it so much that I bought a second one for my office. It really sounds a lot better in the small confines of my office (about 10ft x 10ft) than in my living room which is atleast double the size. I use my Ipod and blast it after hours when everyone else has left the office. The bass really comes out and it really sounds louder.
Summary: I was looking for a 5 CD player or a 3 CD Player by Sony but did not find none so I saw this one on Amazon and I purchase it. L must admit I was not looking for this but I purchase this one and it is fine. My wife and I love.
Summary: This is a beautiful looking system. It comes out of the box looking as sharp and as ready to go as any Apple product. All you have to do is to attach the proprietary speakers (yup, the speakers have this weird connector that is limited to this device only, you can't attach any other speakers to it) and its ready to go. And, this is where this system falls apart. Its is a programming nightmare.
Summary: As many have mentioned the sound from this Stereo is really amazing and despite it only being 60W and having no Subs, it has plenty of bass and clarity! And yes it is a bit more than other brands which will offer you maybe a bit more in functionality. However this Sony Stereo does sound the best! I do like the iPod/iPhone dock, it is perfect for a quick charge and playing your playlists and or music as a whole.
Summary: This exact item is on the shelf at both my local Target and Wal*Mart for about $35 LESS ($150-ish) and of course with no shipping charges added to that! For a relativly large component, the buttons (except for the large knob) are miroscopic.
