Summary: Sound is amazing for such a compact system, but connection to internet and devices can be a bit touchy. Programming is difficult because there's no real user interface. There is an app out there that allows you to control it from your phone, which is helpful.
Summary: Great little unit, the sound is beautiful and clear. The downside to me is that Onkyo seem to have given up on firmware support and are currently not including new network features that are available on more recent models... Spotify Connect? no... Deezer? nope...
Solid Build and Sound; Network UI Needs Improvement

Summary: This is my second Onkyo stereo. The sound is great, and basic setup was a breeze. However, you have to be fairly technical to make good use of the network features, including entering an IP address in your web browser and playing around with a user interface which could be much more intuitive.
Summary: The audio quality of the Onkyo Mini System is very high for such a small format and price, I was pleasantly surprised. Important is its ability to play audio files from hard drives or USB flash drives, this is the future of playback.
Summary: This is an excellent stereo. It may have a slightly muddled sound through the supplied speakers, but it definitely sounds way better than other mini stereos, bar maybe Bose systems. I forked for the wi-fi dongle and had trouble with it.
needs a sub to take the low frequencies off the mid range driver

Summary: This is an excellent choice for a mini Hi-Fi. But you have to add a sub-woofer. And you have to insert a cross-over in line with each speaker. It's not that difficult (or you could get a guy at the electronics store to do it). Any sub you have that has an RCA input will work.
Summary: I am pleased with the sound capabilities of this system. The best feature is hooking it up to the network. Accessing my pandora and spotify account on the system is awesome. The only drawback is the method of login/password entry and clunky access through several menus. Otherwise great!
