Summary: I purchased Onkyo HT-R590 7.1 system 2 years ago. Then 2 days ago, sudden sound to speakers and headset stopped working. I went through all trouble shooting guides, power on/off, reset to factory. unplug for 1 hour to clear capacitors. Then I googled... On NO!! Now I see everyone complaining... ALL ONKYO receivers have same problem, after 2 years the SOUND and HDMI board goes bad!!
Summary: Broadcast tuner with supplied antenna could receive only 2 of 14 local F.M. stations. Grade = F C.D. and speaker quality is what you would expect from Onkyo. Grade= B. Ease of connecting to receive internet radio=F. I tried with an I.T. for hours and could not. Another down side is you need to buy expensive Onkyo options to receive Wi Fi. For the $500 cost of the unit that should be included. When returning it will cost $30.00 and a restocking fee.
Summary: This unit has serious flaws in it's playback capabilities: When playing back mp3 files, from either a network or USB source it inserts a three second gap between tracks!
