Summary: I ordered this item over the holidays and I got it within a week, which was nice, even though not necessary in this case. The item was described as in very good condition, as it was used. Unfortunately this was by far not the case. The music system was dirty and dusty all around and I had to clean it inside out. For a regular internet seller I would have expected that they would go over the selling item and at least have the courtesy to remove dirty finger prints.
Summary: The sound is just amazing for a unit it's size.the highs, mids, and lows are definitely well balanced. This unit can reach concert hall level sound depending on room size and acoustics. As for the one person who says that it does not read mp3 cd's. It does. The book does say that it depends on how ite was recorded which is commonplace with any cd. And to the one person that said that there are no bass and treble controls. You don't need them.
Summary: I recently purchased one of these systems from a Marketplace seller, EZCORP. It was advertised as being in good condition with signs of normal use, with the remote & power cord included. When it arrived I unboxed it with great anticipation; the only signs of wear were a little bit of dust, and the antenna was bent a bit on the very tip.
Summary: I bought the original WaveSystem with the multi-changer some years ago and enjoy it daily. It is in my bedroom where I play it in the evening and even though there are some critics who say it doesn't sound all that great on very low, I must disagree. After 10pm I usually bring the volume down to about 7 or 8, and it's still clear as a bell.
Summary: It is very hard to find honest reviews of Bose stuff; there's just so much hate mixed in and it's impossible to tell what's real. I never thought of myself in the Bose target audience. I have 4 component stereos in the house, all of them much more costly than this little stereo. I own some very high end stuff; headphones that cost over $1,000 and so forth. But I wanted to replace the component system in the bedroom with something smaller.
Summary: I bought my first Bose music system back in 2005. The sound quality was excellent, so much so that when I moved I got rid of my decades-old cd player, receiver, and speakers. Being partially deaf, I especially appreciated the option of playing the TV through the machine. Shortly after the move, that feature stopped working, so I bought a new system with a 4-cd changer and put the older one in my bedroom.
