- Excerpt: The sound from the second-generation CD-playing clock radio is much improved and plays half an octave lower. But there are no controls on the graphite-gray or platinum-white case; instead, you use a 26-button, credit card–size remote. The Wave, whose slot-loading CD player now supports MP3, makes a fine apartment or office music system; it can be part of a Bose (only) whole-house audio system.
