Summary: I purchased this unit, even though it's a bit costlier than comparable microwaves, because it does NOT have a door that opens by pushing a spring-loaded button. We went thru 3 microwaves in the past 7 or 8 years that worked well until the button/door assembly broke and the door would no longer keep...
Summary: Purchased 12/13/15. Put on use first week of January, 2015. I was heating a cup of water and it was sparking. You only have 30 days to return to this seller. So I had the pleasure of dealing with sharp customer service and all the transfers and holds. I ended up with the safety department.
Summary: Purchased for elderly parent with failing vision moving to assisted living. Needed a device that is simple to use and possible to use by someone with very limited vision. This device is as simple and easy as it gets.

Summary: works great. bought for my grandpa because it can only be put on up to I think 6 mins a time which is better than his usual 20. I feel more safe with him having this microwave. it also shuts off if u open the door before the timer is done.
Summary: I liked the unit while I had it, but it died within 5 weeks. My Panasonic lasted 2 years. Minimum of 5 days before Sharp service can have a technician out here = I'm buying a new unit, and it definitely won't be a Sharp.
Summary: Finally a microwave that performs well without the annoying turntable that would tend to come out of the track. This sharp is simple and clean. I love having a door handle to avoid finger marks and breakage - the area around the push button on my prior Panasonic unit was always messy and a poor...
Summary: A dead simple microwave bought for warming things. So far the one thing I miss is variable power to also give it convenient defrosting capability. Bought primarily for reliability as there are lots of less expensive Microwave ovens with more features at lower prices.
Summary: I would give this 4.5 stars if offered. I would make it 5 star if there were at least a timer up to 20 min and a half power function. I would also prefer the midrange 1100 watt. Otherwise, I love the ease of use.
Summary: I'm writing this having just gotten it. First the bad stuff: it won't work without something inside it. A glass of water, a bowl of pasta, something. Not a big deal, but a bit confusing at first.
