Summary: Bought this because it had gotten great reviews on other sites. After 1 1/2 months( of little usage) it would only heat on the vegetable setting. All other settings and just trying to warm something up did not work. It looks good, great size and price maybe we just had bad luck.
Summary: I've had microwave ovens since the original Amana (all 100 lbs of that sucker is still chugging away in my basement. Man is that thing built.) This sanyo is a good, powerful, even cooking, handsome, medium sized oven. The readout is fine , it has enough bells and whistles, the defrost is tad too enthusiastic but you can learn how to adjust for that.
Summary: I really like this microwave... I've only had it a week or so but so far, it's done everything right! Even making my 100-calorie popcorn packets without burning them, unlike microwaves I've used in the past. I'm not a big microwave person or a big appliance person, but for basic functions, it's getting the job done so far! I'll have to write another review after I've had it for awhile.
Summary: I purchased this to replace a 1 year old 1100w Kenmore that I blew up by my own carelessness. I couldn't find same model(which I would have preferred)so chose this Sanyo as it had fairly good reviews. I am not terribly impressed by it...as one reviewer stated, it does seem to be somewhat underpowered as it takes twice as long to heat things up as my 16 year old 900w microwave that the ill-fated Kenmore replaced. The Kenmore also heated things in half the time.
Summary: I've had this in service for 2 weeks (replaced a perfectly good same-wattage Sharp that got zapped due to a storm's power outage - there were multiple spikes as the power company's circuits were switching about to restore power - I've found that MW ovens are sensitive to any outage. So now, if the juice goes off, I unplug. I also shut of the HVAC - not wanting to replace one of those $350 circuit boards...).
Summary: Aside from dimensions, I had one criteria - the door has to open by pulling (not pressing a button). There were very few options meeting my criteria. Sanyo looked the best. It did not disappoint me. After a year of daily use, it still works fine.
Summary: This microwave looks great and works well. My office has had this particular model for a while and when I needed a new one, I knew what I wanted to buy. I love the fact that it has a handle instead of a jam-prone button like my last one. My only gripe is that the cable is a little too short for where I placed it in my house, but I guess that's what extension cords are for. Definitely recommended!
Summary: Received this Microwave several weeks ago. Product had a lose left panel with no way to secure it. Promptly contacted Customer Service and they sent me out a replacement via Express Two Day Delivery at no charge. Replacement arrived before I had a chance to re-pack and send back the defective microwave. Overall this particular Sanyo is a great microwave. Well made and quiet. Easy to use and just the right size. Packed with many features I most likely will never use.
Summary: I don't do much actual cooking -- mostly defrosting and warming up foods -- and this intermediate price Sanyo is absolutele fine for my purposes. I bought it because my previous microwave (another brand) expired one week after its warranty ended. The Sanyo's operations are a bit complex. necessitating my hauling out the instructions fairly frequently, but you can get what you want while learning all the time.
