I'm beating a dead horse - DONT buy a Samsung Microwave of ANY type - Read other reviews.

Summary: My Samsung microwave SMH9207ST is very similar to the ones now being reviewed on Amazon. The difference is my unit has the key pad installed across the bottom front of the door. My unit is installed over a OPEN counter top. It is NOT installed over a stove burner. There is NO steam etc from under the unit to cause the unit to fail --- that CANNOT be used for a excuse for my microwave keypad/control unit to fail after only aprox 23 months of use.
Summary: I bought this for my parents I believe about 2 years ago. Installation wasn't hard (my dad and I did it ourselves). The unit itself feels well made, except for the door. It feels a bit cheap, but it is well made, nothing really flimsy just uses plastic that i wish was a bit thicker. The sensor cooking actually does a good job for most things (surprisingly) so I'm happy about that.
Summary: "SE" Error "short error" AND "666" which I guess is the "Evil" error code! Most newer appliances that use touch keypads for control do NOT adequately prevent steam or water vapor from eventually shorting out the electronics. After having the same issue with our dishwasher (Maytag)twice I finally convinced the repairman to "seal" the control panel with silicon (I handed him a tube I had in the garage). He did, and the unit has not failed now for several years!
Very Different Experience from the One Star Reviews

Summary: I almost didn't buy this microwave because of all the negative Amazon reviews, but after a little more research on the net I noticed that at other outlets the ratings were very different. Disregarding the reviews on Samsung's website (I always wonder about the integrity of reviews on manufacturer sites), I discovered the following: - Sears showed 3.5 stars with 57 reviews - HHGregg showed 4.5 stars with 95 reviews - Testfreaks.com gives it 8.8 out of 10 with 247 reviews...
