Summary: This microwave came recommended and the price was good. The unit cooked food nicely. However, shutting the door always seemed to be hard and unnecessarily loud. Also, the features on the keypad were lacking. For example, I could really have used the "Cook 2 minutes" or the "Cook 3 minutes" or even the "Add 30 seconds" functionality of other microwaves. After about a year, the unit seemed to get harder and harder to close.
Summary: This is the second identical unit we bought and it has the same problems as the first. On the first unit the door would not open after a very short time of usage. Then the inverter quit and the repair was higher than the replacement cost. We bought a new identical unit because it is installed in a cabinet wall with a designated opening to fit this model. The second unit was just over a year old when the same problem started with the door not opening.
Summary: My unit was manufactured in June of 2011. It died in July 2013. I don't think I even owned it 18 months. I estimate the usage to about 4 or 5 times a week. I got a H97 error code on the screen. After reading the other reviews on this web site, I don't think I will be wasting my time taking it to a reapair shop. And I know I will NOT be buying another Panasonic microwave. What a waste.
Pros: no pro's
Cons: Did not meet expectations, Poor quality, short life span, expensive to repair
Summary: I noticed that there was a yellowing where the top right of the door closes after about a month of use. A close examination revealed that the door wasn't completely closing (after it is closed and locked into place) and apparently microwave radiation is bouncing from the door to about 4 inches of that area causing yellowing. I've tried to adjust it to no avail so I'll be returning it. There's no telling how much microwave radiation is leaking out into the kitchen.
Summary: Bought new (sticker says mfr'd in Jan.2010) bought in 2010. Did last 3 years but really expected more. Seems that pesky "H97 error" is mentioned all over the place. *Might be a good place to start (making a more reliable power supply/Inverter Unit) if Panasonic Truly wants to make a "Better" unit. Good thing I still have the old 'spare', no bells, whistles or "inverters" but still "Works".
Cons: Expensive, Did not meet expectations, resetting everything after any sort of power hit g
Summary: This is the third Panasonic we have owned. The first purchase in 1975. They have all lasted longer than I ever expected. This is by far the easiest best looking. The only thing I really miss is the cook books we used to get with the unit. Very happy thus far and I am sure I will not regret this purchase.
Pros: Inexpensive, Easy to use, Exceeded expectations, stainless steel beautiful
Summary: Worked like a charm for 15 months then the door latch problem began. Many other buyers have expressed same issue but Panasonic is not repairing for free nor are they acknowledging the issue and recalling. Very disappointed.
Excerpt: Really glad I chose this product. Great choice. It handles very well. It is a 32x, VDR-D220. It is actually called DVD Palmcorder. Case, Ac adaptor, battery pack, PC connections cable, software and DVD-Ram disc all included with this camera. This is a great camera to take on vacations, family functions or great just to record and make home movies of those Grandchildren. I love just taking this camera out into the yard to record my 1 year old grandchild.
Excerpt: I have a panasonic camcorder and I wouldn't go anywhere without it. I take it on trips and even use it at home all the time. It is the best camcorder I have ever owned. Its very small and easy to handle. And you don't have to be a genious to understand how to use it. It takes almost any kind of DVR. It was also very cheap which is hard to find when it comes to camcorders. I would recommend this product to everyone!
