Summary: I purchased this unit to replace a similar Panasonic oven which died after a year or so. The original unit may have still been under warranty but I couldn't find the paperwork. (It turned out that it blew an internal fuse which was easily replaceable after cover off.) I have limited counter space and this oven had good interior space compared to it's foot print. The cooking is fairly even. Sometimes the heating seems a little inconsistent.
Summary: Bought it in October, 2010. It was small for the size - thin walls. I was the only person who could use any function other than defrost and full power. The numeric coding was too odd. Well, it died a couple of days ago. We are shut of it. Maybe the next one will be easier to use. I guess I read about the people who had this oven die on them and I didn't think that it would happen to me-self selected sample, I thought. Well, it died.
Summary: First, the best comment is the shipping. I ordered this microwave from 2 other online retailers but had a long wait. After I enquired they either said Sorry it's in back order or they simply canceled the order without any explanation. So I turned to amazon. It was a little more expensive here but well worth it. I got the microwave waiting on my doorstep within 2 days!!!!!!! The unit is very elegant and spacious inside despite it's small exterior size.
Summary: I bought this 1 year and 1 month ago from Target. Of course, I never buy the warranty. Is was a very nice looking appliance and worked fine until this week. Totally died. Checked outlets, etc. and it's dead. I have never had an appliance go this quickly. Not worth getting fixed, so will buy a new microwave, but never a Panasonic again.
Summary: This is the only microwave that you can reheat a steak yet keep it medium-rare, red in the middle, and no change in texture. It can reheat pasta sauce with no cover yet no mess. It can even soften and melt butter without burning. Why? Because the inverter technology allows the microwave to cook with a constant reduced power. Others just go full on and then rest when at lower power settings; by then fat in meat is burning, sauce is popping, and butter is burning.
Summary: Panasonic NN-SN657S 1.2 cuft, 1300 Watt Stainless Steel Microwave Oven, Inverter Technology - This is good; the same model I had before was bigger (size & weight and it lasted 10 years or more). My wife found this same model after we bought it on line at a local Walmart at a lesser price -I'm not happy about that! The digital display is not as good as our bigger unit. I don't really care, but it shows inferior design concerning display.
Summary: This Microwave look great on the shelf, I should of left it there but I decided to buy because of its size 2.2 curt, Drawback for our return was after using it for 3 weeks it started buzzing and hissing noise while using it also very low sound while not in use and was getting louder as we continue using it.

Summary: This microwave replaced a Panasonic that had served us well for many years. It is a good-looking machine, and the digital controls are interesting. We were so used to pushing buttons for selections that it took some getting used to. One thing I have noted: the old machine was 1100 Watts, and heated things in a certain amount of time. Even though this is 1300 Watts, I have to add a few more seconds to the cook time to accomplish the same end.
