Summary: It worked fine until it started to have the same problem as multiple people have reported. After not very long in ordinary day to day usage, in order to get it to start and run you have to occasionally slam the door shut because it does not detect that the door has been shut and it will not start the microwave heating process, timer, fan, etc.
Summary: I've owned a number of panasonic "genius" microwave ovens and have used and owned various brands since the mid 1970's. This one has has been a problem (virtually since it arrived) with intermittent and unexpected arcing. At first, I thought it was my fault but as the problem continued I realized that it was a systemic issue.
Summary: The display is bright and easy to read from both my 6'2" height and my wife's 5'3". The oven is much larger than standard ovens, but also has much more cooking space available. The instructions are clear and concise, the features are explained well. We haven't used all the programs yet, the few we have worked as advertised. Overall, very satisfied and we would definitely recommend this to our family and friends.
Summary: It's now January 16th, 2012 and I have been waiting for this unit to have a problem - but, there are no issues whatsoever. It didn't interfere with any other electronic device and the noise level is fine. So forget the tin foil hat and ear plugs. I really, really rely on a microwave to heat, reheat, low heat, high heat, whatever. This microwave is great, it's big inside, big enough to stand up 3 plastic milk containers.
Summary: Received a couple of weeks ago. Looks great...sleek stainless steel. A regular bowl of soup which used to take 2 minutes in my old microwave is now ready in 1 minute. When the time is up the screen reads "ENJOY YOUR MEAL". The popcorn setting is perfect everytime. Easy to work...haven't read the directions yet & probably won't. It's also pretty big inside so can hold casserole dishes to heat up. I'm very pleased so far.
Summary: Just received this Microwave yesterday. Followed first 4 steps , great. The hit the Run button, nothing. Called customer service and they walked me thru first several steps, great, the Start button, nothing. So within 15 minutes of getting it. Panasonic rep tells me I need to drive 40 miles and take it to a service center. I check out the repair shop on yelp, no reviews over a 1. Give me a break Panasonic!
Summary: I didn't really know how big this microwave was. It is HUGGGGGEEEEE. Make sure you really want something this big before you buy it. I mean it is bigger than I thought any microwave could ever be. It also had a little scratch on it when I got it (though it didn't really matter since I sent it back to get a smaller size). I do use the smaller size of the same microwave now and I love it.
Summary: The microwave seemed to work great...for 14 months. And then it crashed with an error code of H97...and it turns out that basically the inverter and/or magnatron is dead. Googled the problem and it turns out that this is a "feature" of this microwave--built right in by Panasonic, made to die within a year, judging from the many, many testimonies to that fact on the internet.
