Summary: I've owned this for a few years and it has performed well. Of all the microwaves I've owned or used--hundreds perhaps, this one is the best. The most endearing feature is the simplicity of its controls-- you simply turn a wheel to almost instantly set any time interval you want and press start.
Summary: Bought this in 2012. issues started few months ago as door close/latching mechanism became very hard and sensors will not recognize closing of the door. had to open and close several times to get it going. Now it does not recognize when door is closed, and wont start.
Summary: This microwave worked well for us for about 14 months (warranty is 1yr). Then it started having problems recognizing the door was closed. We have to keep opening and closing the door until it decides it is closed.
Summary: 98% of this micro is just painted, it's listed as stainless like your going to get this killer micro and instead you get paint with little strips on the front ,leaves a real bad taste in your mouth
Summary: These have an internal fuse that cannot be replaced without special tools. The fuse is known to sometimes fail without anything else being wrong. Also, the door latch has a plastic part inside that can break, making it impossible to open the door without taking the machine apart.
Summary: I bought this microwave when my old one died after 18 years. After 6 months, it broke down. Panasonic sent me to a place to get it repaired for free as it was still under warranty. Here we are six months later, and it isn't working again. I am getting the same error messages as before.
Summary: The sensor settings work well, but you still need to watch your food. The timer usually is set for too long. My model is stainless steel and not painted to look like stainless steel, as other reviews have pointed out.
Pros: It defrosts all food evenly without cooking the edges. I defrost three lbs. of chicken breasts at a time. Takes it like a champ! Cooks food very evenly and reheats meat quite well without cooking it again. Leftovers taste like they should!
Pros: Just got to thinking that it's the SAME model number as the one we have and like. BUT IT HAS AN "S" after the model number. So it MUST BE REALLY Stainless Steel including the outside case of ours that is only painted a "stainless color."
