Summary: Like many others have seen on this and similar models, after about 6 months of use the door becomes difficult to close and won't always start due to latch problems. Since we were gone for the winter the warranty had expired a few weeks before the latch started to fail. After 1 year of use it wouldn't work at all. The latch is held by a flimsy piece of metal that bends over time.
Summary: I love this microwave oven! This is my second one of this same model--I ended up having a turnstile issue with my old one but never had any problems for several years prior. I'm glad they still make this model. I cook whole meals with mine daily. I like the large interior that can handle my largest casserole dishes. It doesn't have those annoying buttons, "pizza" or "potato" for the cooking impaired. It has multiple power options, defrost modes and a sleek, clean look.
Summary: Last one I used was a GE. It had easy to use one button operations. This one is not as simple. Also inside isn't as nice as GE. This oven has indents inside and GE had smooth rounded corners, much easier to clean. All new ones seem to last but 3 years these days, unlike many years ago they lasted 15 plus years. Of course the price has been greatly reduced, so I guess it balances itself out.
Summary: Our 1.2 cu. ft. pananasonic give up after 14 years of service.I replaced it with this larger model.Panasonic has proven to me , that they make a quality product. this microwave is big enough to get the job done.
Summary: Needed to replace my old 1000 watt microwave that quit working money was a factor looking for a cheap one just to be a fill in until I could afford a good replacement. I wanted to spend under $100 but I saw this one at wal mart on line store for $150 and because I had good experience with Panasonic in the past I decided to spend the extra cash and I am more than happy I did.
