Summary: I have owned 2 previous combis which gave me great service over 20+ odd years but wanted something a little more compact. The compromise is a less efficient convection function as it reaches a top temperature of only 220o as opposed to 250o on my previous models; it also affects results obtained on combi mode so the jury is still out as to whether the external compactness was worth the sacrifice on cooking times and taste.
Summary: This was to replace a previous Panasonic Combination Microwave, which I had loved (the bigger model). This model is fine for Grilling and microwaving (not sure yet about combination) but using convection only, it is useless. Most of the heat comes from the grill, which means everything gets burnt before it is properly cooked. It doesn't even take up less space, because of the 40cm+ spacing required to the right hand side for ventilation.
Summary: I bought this microwave yesterday as my old Panasonic died. It has all the old functions except turbo bake but I could live with that. The microwave function works just fine but using the grill or the convection oven, forget it. I have just tried to bake a cake in it on the convection setting and I only left it in for 25 minutes of the total time of 50 minutes as I could no longer stand the smell of burning!!! The cake was black on top and raw inside.
Summary: This has been a really useful addition to our new kitchen and have been very pleased with the results so far. We really like having the flexibility of using it as a Microwave or a Convection oven or even a combination of both!
Summary: I have had a Panasonic microwave for many years and was very happy with the performance. I gave my old microwave away to a friend after deciding to get a new microwave. I purchased this model in Nov 2013 (I chose this model since it is the same as my previous model but includes a convection oven). The first microwave delivered was returned since we noticed that the hard plastic on the inside of the door had started to melt.
Started to smoke as the door seal burnt and melted

Summary: Our second of this model and a great microwave when it was working, but yesterday we were using it as normal when it started to smoke very badly. The metal casing had become very hot and part of the plastic seal on the inside of the door had burnt and melted onto the metal frame against which the door closes..
Summary: This is my third microwave of this type. The last one had button but the one before was just touch keypad. The buttons are better in my opinion. For reasons I cannot say my last one dropped one of its heating elements and I was concerned that it would cause the inside of the microwave to be "live" as the element was sitting on the metal. I cannot say why that happened but it was well used.
