Summary: what i didn't like is that it doesn't accurately distribute the heating evenly especially when you put more food in it . for example, if you put more than 3 pieces of bread, then parts of the bread will get very crispy while the rest is still cold. same goes for frozen food with 2 pounds of weight or more. so, I think other microwaves within the same power range from other famous brands are better. but then this unit is cheaper, so I guess you get what you pay for.
A perfect little microwave for a dorm or small apartment.

Summary: We purchased this for our daughter's small college apartment where space was at a premium. This turned out to be a great purchase. It has enough power to cook whatever elaborate meal our daughter wishes to cook while taking up little counter space. And truthfully, as she leans towards microwaveable popcorn and instant meals, this little oven is perfect for that as well.
Doesn't heat evenly enough for a picky nacho-lover
24 July 2014
Summary: I have been addicted to nachos since I was a kid, so the real test for this contraption was whether or not it can melt the cheese on all the chips evenly. Unfortunately, with the default settings, this microwave always burns the cheese in the center of the plate while not even melting the cheese on the edge of the plate. I tried lowering the power setting and increasing the time, but still had the same result.
Good build-quality for the price; buttons hard to press.

Summary: Good build-quality for the price. The only issues I have with it are (1) the buttons are somewhat difficult to press, (2) the re-heat feature is useless (food is always too cold) and (3) it doesn't have an "add 1 minute" button that I find really useful on other microwaves. Only the first issue is really annoying: You *really* have to push the buttons to get them to register. It's frustrating, especially since you have to press five buttons to get it to cook 1:00.
Summary: The microwave worked fine when I received it, but I was heating a liquid in a coffee mug it suddenly just turned off and would not turn on again. The outlet was checked and was not the issue. No warning signs, sounds, smells, noises that would have let me know there was a problem ahead of time. I called Oster and they said that Amazon.com is not an approved vendor so the warranty was void. I wish I had known this ahead of time.
Summary: I purchased this microwave brand new from Amazon, plugged it into the wall socket and attempted to heat some food. It did not heat the food at all. I tried numerous settings with no luck. This unit was totally DOA.
