Summary: I love this microwave! It replaces a larger Panasonic brand where the door wouldn't close all the time. I was able to set this microwave on the counter and it cooks food evenly and consistently. I do add 30-45 seconds to the recommended cooking time since it's a 900 watt oven and most cooking times are given for an 1100 watt oven.
Summary: I got this for my office. It is compact and works pretty well. The clock doesn't stay set for some reason so I just gave up on that. It doesn't heat food as fast as my high-powered microwave at home, but I didn't expect it to. It doesn't get used daily, but it appears to be made well enough to stand up to daily use.
This may turn out to be the best counter-top microwave ever
9 October 2014
Summary: This may turn out to be the best counter-top microwave ever, but for now, I'm frustrated. The power cord is only 4.5 ft. long, so I had to buy an air conditioner extension cord to plug it in to the base of our "peninsula" counter. Also, I found no online support or user manuals for Oster microwave products. It's slightly larger than my Panasonic unit, which still works but can't be used because of a broken door-opener. Maybe the Oster will turn out OK.
Summary: We have had this microwave for less than 9 months and it just died. Not only stopped working but, melted the inside wall and caught on fire. I was concerned at how it caused a potential fire hazard. However, I assumed since it was still under warranty, no problem. Right? WRONG! The warranty covers "repairs" and requires you to take it to an "authorized" repair center. In my case it is 100 miles away. What a scam. I will NEVER buy Oster products again. JUNK, JUNK, JUNK.
