Summary: I was definitely afraid, based on the number of negative reviews, but like many others, I had to give it a shot for the sake of appearance. I'm very glad I did -- It's just as appealing in person as it is in the pictures. As others have mentioned, the simplicity of the "dial then push" controls make it so convenient...as opposed to the last one I owned (push "Timer", push numbers, push "Start").
Awesome and cute microwave, but make sure you buy the protection plan!

Summary: I have had it for 7 months and I travel a lot so it really only gets used about 5-15 times per month. I haven't moved it since setting it up 7 months ago, and today it stopped heating things. It turns on and spins and acts like it's working, but then never heats the food. Luckily, I read the other reviews about this microwave having some problems like this, so I got the square trade protection plan and I am so glad I did! I love this microwave!
Cute but not durable. Lasted a little over a year.

Summary: Avoid this microwave. It's as cute as the picture, but that's the only good thing to say. After a little over a year it has rusted through on the bottom. The coating over the bottom steel plate wore off where the small wheels for the rotating glass tray support touch the bottom and the bare steel is now severely pitted. Another issue is that the microwave does not readily transfer moisture outside of the cooking chamber, which probably accelerates the corrosion problem.
Summary: Purchased it, and it worked fine for the most part, although the print on the express button rubbed off after 2 months. Very cute model for which I had hopes to be partners with for a long while, maybe even warm up some bottles eventually if things evolved right. Here we are 7 months later and I have had the same experience as many of the other reviews, simply no power, total shut down. The cheap Sunbeam microwave I got before this one lasted 4 times as long.
Summary: We thought this would look great with our mid-century retro kitchen. But once we opened the box, it looked cheap, which is the opposite of retro, really. We tried using it and it was so loud, we thought it might blow up. Sent it back and got another brand. Note to Nostalgia Electrics: half the point of nostalgia is that things from the past were made from more durable materials than things today.
Defective right out of the box, I returned the first one got a replacement and had the same problem with the replacement.

Summary: I opened the box, plugged it in, set the clock, read the manual and tried to do a test run. I hit express cook, then start and the display pad lit up, every single option on it lit up, blinked then went blank. I figured it was me, so I tried a few other settings same thing happened every time! It never even came close to heating up. I figured it was defective, I ordered a replacement. It arrived a couple days later. We had the exact same problem.
