Summary: I have owned this microwave for 2 years. I have had to replace the touch screen twice which was not covered by the warranty. It has now cost me more in repairs that the microwave cost initially. When this component needs to be replaced again, which could be any day, I will just buy another microwave. Certainly NOT Maytag.
Summary: Microwave is fine, is replacement for worn out one and ordered primarily because it matches my oven. I rarely use a microwave for cooking but use it for popcorn, boiling water, melting things, and occasionally reheating things. For this the microwave is fine. But the price is overpriced when it appears to be a sale price. It never cost the listed price, it is listed on the maytag website for 100 dollars less.
Summary: This product was everything we wanted in an over-the-range microwave. It has more capacity, wattage, and cooking options than our present one. and it freed up counter space. It was easy to install but I do recommend at least two people. User instructions could be a little more detailed.
Summary: If you're buying this for the convenience of having an over-the-range microwave, then it's good. The microwave is easy to use, powerful, reliable, and looks nice. However, if you're intending to buy this to use it for exhaust as well as a microwave- especially if you have to recirculate- look elsewhere! We've had ours installed for about 7 months now. From the start, it never was good at pulling up steam from the stove.
Summary: I bought a predecessor to this product (MMV4203DW) and it was a real lemon. After 2-1/2 years it blew out and I am not a frequent cook. The factory authorized repair rep told me it would cost $256.00 to repair it. Completely turned off with Maytag microwaves. Save your money. Maytag washers are great. They need to stay out of the microwave field. Save your money. Dont waste it on this product or any Maytag microwave.
Summary: The template for mounting Maytag microwave did not match up with the parts. Had to go back to the store to luckily get the right mounts. There was no manual or anything on how to use the microwave. Had to go online and information was limited. I still don't know how to use the features and will have to contact the store AGAIN. Not a good start for a Maytag product, whatever happened to quality control.
Summary: This microwave is not difficult for one person to install because this new model is not nearly as heavy as older microwaves were. I always have trouble drilling cabinet mounting holes in the exact location. I actually know nothing about preparing food, but it reheats frozen dinners flawlessly, and pops corn that is delicious. Keypad is very easy to figure out and use.
