Summary: Have had this model for years until it set itself on fire two weeks ago. Hard to find one with a door handle, but this one does the job. Just replaced the old one with another identical model.
Bought this 3 years ago and while it still works ...

Summary: Bought this 3 years ago and while it still works, it's stuck on half power or something because everything seems to take twice as long. (Yes, I've checked the power settings) It worked well while it worked. Wish it had a timer setting without having to put power into it but you can't. Not sure I'd buy it again because it didn't last very long.
Summary: Worst microwave I've ever owned. There's not anything I liked about this Magic Chef. It didn't even last 2 years and the only thing I'm happy about is that I don't have to use it anymore. It felt cheap; one leg was broken off when we received it so my husband jury rigged it so it was level; took longer to heat food than expected; very loud; no way to turn the light off when the door was ajar; stainless steel interior was a b**ch to keep clean and not streak; Exterior...
Summary: After 15 months (a bit out of warranty, of course), it started making zapping sounds and a LIGHTENING show inside. Very scary. The company would not do anything. We threw it out and bought a different brand. Do not waste your money or your safety on this.
Summary: It died after 11 months- no power at all and front panel was peeling apart. I had it repaired under warranty and at 14 months it stopped heating properly unless you reset to power 10 EACH TIME you cooked. It was not worth the hassles.
Summary: This is the second microwave of this brand for us. in fact, it is exactly like one that was 10+ years old when it died. That should say it all. This one has some updated features or could it be that we didn't read all the owners' manual on the first one. We would advise anyone interested to buy it.
