Summary: I will NEVER buy another LG product! This microwave stopped working after less than 2 years of normal use. The repair company designated by LG told me it "wasn't worth fixing," and that I should just buy a new microwave. The average lifespan of a microwave is FIVE YEARS - this one LASTED ONLY TWO.
Summary: After having the microwave for a couple weeks it quit working. The error displayed is "Door". Called about warranty and they stated that it is a known issue and we would need to send it in for repair under warranty.
Summary: I had this model for only 2 1/2 years and now some of the buttons on the front panel don't work. I can press numbers 1-5 and the "stop" button but numbers 6-0 and the "start" button do nothing. I tried some of the preset buttons and the microwave ran but no heat. The unit is now worthless. What I really liked about this unit was the dark gray interior, which hid splash marks really well. It was also round in the back for easy cleaning.
Summary: I purchased this microwave 14 months ago as I respected the LG brand. After about a year of regular but light use, the microwave started overheating on the defrost cycle. Then it began turning back on by itself when I opened the door! Now it is non fuctional. Of course my warrenty is expired and the company offered no help. I will never buy this brand again.
Summary: I like everything about it except it does not have where a person can push any of the first six numbers and have it cook for that time period. It does have a push button that starts at 30 seconds and can push until the limit of 3 1/2 minutes is reached. I really like the feature of putting in a potato(s) and just pushing the potato button. It starts after a couple seconds and the potato is cooked.
Summary: The stop button was the first to go, within 6 months, now the 0 and the clock don't work either. It's a pain in the butt to get a warranty repair done, you have to take it to the repair facility that may or may not be located in the same city as you and drop it off. Once they've evaluated it and got the okay to fix it they'll fix it, which could take a week or two. We expected more from LG!!!
Summary: This oven has many handy features that are not available on similarly priced units, such as one touch automatic cooking. This is a feature that I had on my previous microwave which had become a "must-have" feature on its replacement. I also like that there is a setting to silence the beeps, something that comes in handy when others in the house are sleeping. If there is one thing that I would like to see on future models it is a back-light for the control panel.
Summary: We purchase this item in November of 2012 for use in a new apartment. Since then the control panel has become partially inoperable (e.g. the stop and reset buttons do not work). There are several other problems and I would advise against purchasing this item. The replacement warranty is only good for 3 months.
