Summary: I love my new microwave and it matches nicely with my new Kitchenaid Range!!! Very user friendly and it has a lot of room to cook inside! I love my kitchenaid products from Lowes and I will be buying the Dishwasher to match soon!! It's little pricey than most microwaves but well worth it for the beauty of it!
Summary: We looked for several months before purchasing this microwave from Lowe's in July 2011. It had to be special ordered and did not arrived until mid-Oct. When the installer finished installing the microwave, my husband and I noticed that the space on the left door hinges was unevenly spaced and was smaller at the bottom than the top. Very noticeable. The installer called Lowe's and they agreed to order a new one.
Summary: I have to agree with Oscala Joe.This product is over rated and very pricey.I too had one and had to replace the handle, bulbs and the vent fan.I finaly discarded it when it would not work.I had a technition come to have it check out and was told the main circuit board was damaged.when I got the estimate to have it fixed I nearly take a hammer to it. I ended up trying a another band.
Summary: This microwave is very smart. It has so many great features. It senses heating things up by weight and type of food. It melts sticks of butter perfectly. Even heats up pizza by how many slices perfectly. This is a great microwave. It is very easy to keep clean and looks nice in my kitchen too.
Summary: I have had three, yes that's right count them 3 of this microwave in the past year. The first one was serviced 11 times before it was deemed a $1000 paper weight. Kitchen Aid replaced it and right out of the box the new one did not work, different problem but still it did't work. So another was sent out, that one worked the first day to microwave one cup of water strictly as a test. One day later trying to microwave a piece of pizza it was no longer heating in any way.
Summary: Undoubtedly the most repair-prone product I've ever purchased in my entire life. In two years, it has broken 5 times. It has a serious design flaw (pointed out to me by the repair man!) where the door doesn't seal out moisture from the stove top, so that the electronics get damp and fail. Then because the door and cables are so flimsy, it is incredibly difficult to repair. Whatever you do, don't buy this model!
Summary: Handle on the door broke in year 3. Unusually hard to change. Hood light went out. I changed bulb. Repair man said if you change bulb without unplugging it you blow a board inside that costs $100- plus labor.
Summary: We purchased this microwave when we remodeled our last house's kitchen. I absolutely loved the look and functionality of the microwave. You could do anything with the microwave, like fry an egg, soften ice cream, melt butter perfectly, one-touch popcorn, etc. The microwave has a sensor and senses when the food is perfectly done. We did have a recurring service issue (it would freeze up and we would have to cut power so it would re-set itself).
Summary: For the first year it was ok, after that it has its own mind, works when it wants to. I've had it for just over 3 yrs and they have come out for repairs countless times, all the parts inside have been replaced twice and still has issues.
