Summary: Only a month or so old and the two door catches (the switches inside that tell the unit if door closed) would be intermittant, freezing up the microwave since it would think door open when it wasn't, lots of trouble with this part. Also, 6 months later the touch screen simply quit displaying although you could operate the unit still. Too bad as it looks nice and display looks nice but too much trouble, won't buy again.
Summary: Loved this microwave while it worked. First one we got was DOA. Second one worked great until it died a year and a half later and could not be fixed. Good thing I had suspicions that this would not last long and got the extended warranty.
Summary: We bought this microwave back in 2009 on a kitchen remodel. Microwave went out this summer in May 2011. Family has gone without a microwave for 5 months now b/c the repair people that Kitchen Aid advised cannot fix it. Now I have to purchase another microwave...
Summary: I am happy, so happy with my microwave. The touch screen is simple to use and gives you practical choices (ie., when defrosting meat, the microwave senses the size of the item and chooses the correct setting to defrost properly). AJ Madison had the lowest price. Their website was user friendly, the delivery was extremely prompt. I am delighted.
