Summary: We bought this microwave 14 months ago, and it has already completely stopped working! We could not even get the display lights to work. The repairman said it was going to be $195 to get the circuit board and to cover his fees for driving out here - NO THANKS! We are looking for another microwave! (And, the reviewer talking about his burnt popcorn is correct. It was too hot for ours, too, if we did not adjust the power level.
Summary: We purchased this item in July of 2011. Just over one year later in September of 2012 (out of warranty by the way) we started experiencing issues with the unit just turning itself off even though it was not yet finished cooking. You have to hit the start button again maybe two to three times before the cooking was complete. A telephone call to Kitchen Aid/Whirlpool was a joke. The customer rep. said we should have purchased an extended warranty.
Summary: Pleased that you carried this discontinued model. It's the only unit that works with my built in space. I was happy to receive it. In good shape. Took only 10 minutes to install,and take out the old microwave.
Summary: My mother (age 85) had an older KitchenAid that finally died. She needed a new one that would be easy for her to learn to use. This one has basically the same buttons and works the same way, so it was perfect. Arrived quickly and in good condition. Mom is VERY happy!
Summary: Quit working after two months. The Amazon store front would not take it back. I called Kitchen Aid and they are sending a repair person to look at it. Also door did not open very well. I bought for a repacement. Not built as well as the previous. I would not recommend.
Summary: Bought this microwave 2/2011. Quit working in 8/2011. The item had a 1-Year warranty so I proceeded to have it fixed. Have had I believe EVERY electrical part replaced and the service repairman out 9 times trying to fix it!! Not lying to you folks! Customer service will not even consider replacing...STAY AWAY FROM KitchenAid!! As of today 4/23/2012 it is still not working!!
Summary: I've owned this Kitchenaid microwave for about 2 years and use it very lightly (about 1x per week). It's needed repairs twice already related to the keypad controls and electronics (bad switches). In the case of the bad switch, the microwave froze during operation and would only turn off if the door was opened. The first repair was covered under warranty and the 2nd repair required a service call and switch replacement costing me over $160.
Summary: After some "internet" shopping we purchased our microwave oven and trim kit from Loews. The associate worked with the dimensions of our cut-out to confirm our choice of microwaves. We waited just short of 3 weeks for delivery. The microwave was fairly well packed but still arrived with a small "ding" in the door. Unbelievably, the glass turntable was packed in a recessed area of foam at the very top of the box.

Summary: I have a Microwave similar to this one. The bottom inside underneath the glass plate is rusting. I called Customer service. I was told its out of warranty,and That I probably left food in there to cause the rust. How RUDE, Unprofessional and UNTRUE!! I was told to stop using it because now radiation is leaking out.I chatted online with another representative of Kitchenaid. I was told even though there is rust inside its fine and ok to use.
