Summary: We had an older version of this in our previous house and just installed this model in our current house. (Obviously we found it worth the premium over a standard microwave.) This is not like any other microwave on the market. Yes, it does everything a standard microwave does and it does them really well. For example, the "reheat" setting has options for soup, plate of food, beverage, etc.
Pros: Attractive Design, Easy To Install, Heats Evenly, Powerful
Summary: Since there is no 0 star rating, I am being generous in giving this product 1 star, mostly because of GE's terrible service. We had this (not inexpensive) microwave for a year purchased from a local dealer (not Amazon) when the keypad started to go on by itself. We called GE and they sent a technician out--for $95--and he told us the keypad was bad and that it would be close to $400 to replace it.
Summary: This is my second GE combo convection/microwave/exhaust oven. I cook a lot, live in an apartment with a compact kitchen. This appliance is perfect for my space. The unit is very handsome. Each function is more than adequate. The convection application takes a while to reach temp, operates below the set temp, after disarming the auto-stepdown which most convection ovens have built in. The exhaust is quiet on low (the previous model was so loud, I never used it.
Summary: Appliance is barely 2 yrs. old and the interior looks terrible. Rust spots all over. Talked to GE and was told that they don't know what caused this to happen - but that was a cosmetic problem and not covered by warranty. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!!!
