Summary: This is our third GE microwave. #1 is still running. #2 failed after two years and was replaced by a Panasonic that died after 18 months. The GEs are all superior to the lower-priced Panasonic in features and quality of build. (An unlike the Panasonic, all the GEs can properly pop corn!) The turntable on/off switch is desirable, as are the instant-on 30 second and 1-6 minute one-click alternatives. My only serious concern is reliability, based on our GE#2's failure.
Summary: The dimension listed for depth on this unit is not correct. On Amazon it is listed as 18 inches deep. In reality, it is just shy of 19 inches. I found this out the hard way when attempting to replace our old microwave housed in a cabinet. I ordered this GE as a replacement along with the matching trim kit and it cost me about $70 in restocking and return delivery fees as that extra 3/4 of an inch or so made it unworkable.
Summary: This microwave worked perfectly for only two years. When I called GE to repair it they came out and said it could not be repaired. I have had a Sharp for over thirty years and continues to work perfectly.
Summary: "Very satisfied. Quick shipping. Ordered a black unit, they shipped me a stainless steel one. But it's ok, it works for our cabinet as well. So, it is a good experience with this vendor, and will recommend to anyone highly.
Summary: My poor microwave died and I'm replacing it ASAP with one exactly like it--only alive. Although it barely lasted 18 months, which is why I'm deducting one star, I don't care. This microwave is perfect and I must have another as soon as possible. Here's why: I hate taking orders from a machine. I will not 'turn over' 'pry apart' push extra buttons and memorize complicated rituals to use a kitchen appliance. With this microwave I don't have to.
