Summary: I got this microwave because my previous Oster Microwave was looking kind of shabby (there was nothing wrong with it). I like my new one, but it's buttons are different than my previous one, so I had to refer to the instruction manual to figure out how to use the power button, potato button etc. So far it meets my expectations, and I use it every day.
Summary: Micro wave meets our needs for the price. I like the extra beeps when I forget to take my coffee cup out while warming it. I like one step 30 second button. Beeps are rather loud, but I got used to that. Microwave is pretty light weight, so it tends to move when I open the door. When you first get it, if it is cold, let it warm to room temperature before plugging it in. We didn't, and something began humming when we plugged it in, all by itself.
Summary: I had to return this item because it made noises when opening and closing the door. The door also didn't fit together with the microwave, so I had to push and lift the door to get it to close securely. Also wasn't very quiet when microwaving. I had high expectations b/c I had read the reviews on Consumer Reports, but I believe it was a slightly different model. Overall, I was disappointed.
Summary: I bought this in april 2012 (based on intial good reviews) for a 100bucks (paid extra thinking it will work longer). Worked well...while it did. Now (may 2012) it has stopped heating despite turntable, display and light being functional. Clearly low quality magnetron being used in these microwaves. Will add to landfill. Dont recommend.
Summary: I've had good experiences with Oster toaster ovens in the past, so assumed they'd be good for microwaves, too, but apparently they're not. The microwave worked okay for a month, and then started shutting down in the middle of cooking things and refusing to turn back on for 2-3 minutes each time. I've now owned the microwave for two months, and it won't run for two minutes without stopping, making it pretty much useless.
