Summary: This item was bought in December 2013 and stopped working some time in April of 2014, well within the warranty period. The telephone number I contacted connected me to a warranty support group in Canada. They told me I would have to fill out and return a form they would e-mail me but did not inform me of their specific requirements. I waited in vain for the e-mail and finally asked them to send the form via regular mail.
Summary: Bought this on Amazon on June 2010 and this microwave lasted me four whole years. It finally dies on me on June 2014. This is my testament of its durability and longevity. The two most important buttons on these are the "start/minute plus" button and the "express" button located at the bottom of the key panel. I press the "minute plus" button once and press the "express" button once and you have instant 1:30 minute of heating with easy two button press.
Summary: This is my 4th microwave in 14 years. Am I hard on microwaves you may ask and my answer is no, it is probably one of our least used appliances. That being said; we always purchased inexpensive microwaves and obviously that did not work for us so we decided to bite the bullet and purchase a more expensive one with a good name. In terms of performance this microwave is fine, however the inside is rusted out.
Summary: I got this microwave because my previous Oster Microwave was looking kind of shabby (there was nothing wrong with it). I like my new one, but it's buttons are different than my previous one, so I had to refer to the instruction manual to figure out how to use the power button, potato button etc. So far it meets my expectations, and I use it every day.
Summary: Micro wave meets our needs for the price. I like the extra beeps when I forget to take my coffee cup out while warming it. I like one step 30 second button. Beeps are rather loud, but I got used to that. Microwave is pretty light weight, so it tends to move when I open the door. When you first get it, if it is cold, let it warm to room temperature before plugging it in. We didn't, and something began humming when we plugged it in, all by itself.
Summary: I had to return this item because it made noises when opening and closing the door. The door also didn't fit together with the microwave, so I had to push and lift the door to get it to close securely. Also wasn't very quiet when microwaving. I had high expectations b/c I had read the reviews on Consumer Reports, but I believe it was a slightly different model. Overall, I was disappointed.
Summary: I bought this microwave three months ago, despite the bad reviews, because I had owned one previous to this and it functioned fine. Today when I went to heat something up, it quit in mid-cook. I have experienced this in the past but it only lasted briefly, then returned to working order. Now it is totally dysfunctional. It turns on for a few seconds, but has a strange sound, then goes out again.
