Summary: I got this microwave and I agree with everyone else. I spent $600 and it is not working, now. The top piece has broken for the second time. I do not suggest you buy their microwave...at least this one...
Summary: Well, we have had the same experience as most of the other reviews. The microwave is made of very flimsy plastic parts and they keep breaking. Door lock broke, top part of the unit broke and hanging down, the right side of the unit (where the keypad is located) just started moving around as if something else is broken and now something inside the door is making noise (something else broke and is moving around inside the door).
Summary: This microwave is very loud, two went out on me in a month. The magnetrons are bad. Can't see the buttons, noisy, very loud exhaust fans, interior light is very dim, hardly any chime to hear when item is done, no backlight to see buttons, the magnetron is very loud and will fail. More than 80% of these units fail within 16 months, etc. Very bad make. Don't buy. Please do research online and see for yourself. Not worth the money at all.
Electrolux microwave EI30MH55GSB breaks at the drop of a hat
18 October 2011
Summary: We bought all Electrolux appliances 2-1/2 years ago. We are unhappy with the performance of the fridge and gas burners, but they do work (just not as well as we think they should). They did replace our icemaker for free, but can't explain why the right front burner can only be set to high or low, there is no in between. Plus the oven cooks unevenly, even on convection. The real issue we have is with the microwave; parts keep breaking off of it.
Summary: I don't have problems with the actual microwave cooking, I have a problem with the hoop cover. It is a part that never gets touched and it has broken twice. I called Electrolux and like many others the customer service is horrible. My issues is definately a manufacturer defect but they are not willing to look at it. The lady that answered the phone said she had never heard of it, yeah the lady answering the phone sounds real techy (not).
Avoid Electrolux appliances - lesson learned the hard way
19 September 2009
Summary: We bought electrolux kitchen appliances despite advice that they were "hit or miss". The look and the features are very alluring, and they seemed to be worth the premium pricing. We also held Electrolux in high esteem due to their Swedish origin and strong reputation in the vacuum business. We hoped for a "hit". We haven't had the trouble with uneven cooking as reported by others, but perhaps that's because it took some time for the new microwave to work AT ALL.
Looks great! Cooks not so great! (Needs a turntable).

Summary: The gun in our 1400 watt GE over-the-range microwave gave out after just 3 1/2 years of use. SO, we decided to shell out the big bucks to buy this Electrolux. (It matches our new Electrolux range, which we actually love). The problem is that there is no turn table in this unit and the "cook-2-perfection technology" is, in a word, *PITIFUL*! The way it cooks reminds me of the $100 units you give your kids to take to college.
