Summary: I have been very satisfied with the performance and features of this microwave oven. My only complaint is that the beeper is too loud and there is no volume control. I live in a small apartment and the beeper can be heard in the unit next door.
Summary: After about 1 month, here's the low down on this microwave: Appearance: Shiny stainless steel. Very pretty inside and out. Even the control panel is pretty. It has a slightly retro look to it. Durability: I haven't had it long, but it seems like it will hold up well. There are a lot of plastic parts visible on the hinges and door latch, but a lot of appliances do that.
Summary: It's a little big for my counter top so i purchased a wall mount shelf. So far it's perfect. I like the features. It works well and looks great. This is an update one year after purchase. The microwave still works great, and i love the stainless inside & out, however the soft plastic covering over the control buttons is ripping and bunched up from every day use.
Summary: ****Update notes at 1+ year mark This unit still operates fine, with a couple of concerns: -Over the 1+ year I've owned it, I believe it's getting louder when running - hopefully this is not indicative of a looming problem (like I said, it still cooks fine). -The clock on the unit runs about a minute fast! Never experienced this with a digital clock before, but this one will gain about a minute a month. Strange.
Summary: Excellent product for the price. If you are short on space, this unit looks smart inside and out. The outside side panels are NOT stainless - they are gray, so if you're trying to keep a clean look that matches fridge/stove/etc, a cubby or nook to place it in would be best. I've actually had people exclaim out loud when the open it... the inside is gorgeous. This is my third Cuisinart product.
