Well built, well designed

Benjamin B., Newegg

  • Summary: I bought this mouse under a different brand (but identical mouse) and immediately realized why this mouse is so well reviewed. The mouse has a very precise feel, making it easy to control.
  • Pros: 4th and 5th buttons positioned very well, comfortable feel, very precise mouse, excellent build quality
  • Cons: back of mouse is a little wide

User Review

Erica Z., Newegg
13 November 2013
  • Summary: This mouse is obscenely overpriced. I understand what goes into making it, and I love the sensitivity, but it simply isn't durable and doesn't have the customization that other mice in the same range has. At first I understood why someone would pay this much, but then it didn't even last.
  • Pros: Accurate, solid mouse that is responsive.
  • Cons: Within six months the scroll wheel and the right mouse button stopped working entirely. Returning it and getting a replacement was taking so long that I just threw it out.

Fantastic Mouse

Jacques F., Newegg
18 December 2012
  • Summary: In my opinion, for the price, you just can not beat the simple but attractive styling and great performance this mouse offers. 10/10 would buy again.
  • Pros: I'm an active PC gamer and have gone through a variety of different mice over the years. That being said, the EC1 is the most comfortable mouse I've had the pleasure of using. It is also highly responsive and precise. I have not used the adjustable DPI feature very much, but it worked well when I...
  • Cons: If I had to nitpick, there is a slight gap where the portion of the mouse your palm rests on meets the base of the mouse. After about a month you'll need to clean out the dirt and dead skin that accumulates.

A very good quality built mouse

Kevin Z., Newegg
26 November 2012
  • Summary: 450/1150/2300 dpi? What the hell are they thinking. This is why I took 1 star off. I don't mind if the base dpi is 450, but atleast include one divisible by 400. I mean some of us old school gamer are too stubborn to use anything other than 400dpi. It should be 450/800/2300.
  • Pros: -Feels nice -Very good sensor -Work right out of box -Good Scroll Wheel -No driver require
  • Cons: Nothing wrong with the mouse, the problem is me. Read the "other thoughts" to get what I mean.

Broke in 2 days of use

Carlos C., Newegg
25 October 2012
  • Summary: I will go with a SteelSeries mouse next time or a Logitech given Ive had my MX518 for about 3 years and never has broken down on me.
  • Pros: I love the ergonomics and feel of this mouse. Feels right in my hand and the tracking sensor is amazing. Regardless to say I love this mouse all around
  • Cons: Now the cons, well I loved this mouse until an hour before my match in ESEA (CS:GO) broke down on me. The mouse4 button just suddenly stopped having a "click" and felt empty. The button was just wobbling around with no click and I couldnt manage to get it back to work. I was really angry and upse...

Great, stable, comfortable gaming mouse

Caleb H., Newegg
24 October 2012
  • Summary: If you want simple functional and elegant performance for gaming or any task and are on the fence let me push you toward buying this. No regrets and actually has helped me to get some noticeable gains in stats competitively im thinking due to not having acceleration problems like my steelseries did.
  • Pros: Very stable and accurate feeling sensor. This is the single most important factor in a gaming mouse in my eyes. Coming from a Sensei steelseries mouse which is plagued with 5-10 percent acceleration that isn't able to be disabled even with "exact accel" at 0. I can feel the difference in consiste...
  • Cons: Not a huge deal, but I had to adjust to there only being 3x DPI options (450, 1150, 2300) I settled on 450 and just slightly adjusted my in game cross-hair movement sensitivity. I read this is to insure stability (sensors not functioning at 100% at non native dpi settings) Scroll wheel isn't perf...
