Summary: Wanted to post this in case someone else had this happen--namely, after phasing it in, none of the keys worked on it. Nothing in the instructions mentions this, but, on the Verbatim site, they tell you that there's a sneaky little “Connect Channel” button on the bottom of the keyboard that activates it. After pushing that, it works like a charm. This is a good wireless multimedia keyboard with keys that you can feel (and hear) yourself tapping, and it looks good.
Summary: I have limited desk space and prefer a compact keyboard. This one fits the bill and works perfectly, no delays and the keys are well-spaced. It's nice to also have the wireless mouse and the two devices together use just one USB port. There is an on/off switch on the mouse, none on the keyboard. The keyboard has no led indicators for caps lock, num lock or scroll lock, I suppose to save battery life.
Summary: I have limited desk space and need my keyboard to be readily accessible, so this is the perfect solution. The price was just an added bonus. No problem with set up and both the mouse and keyboard have performed flawlessly.
Summary: Not the best performing wireless keyboard and mouse, but I'll be damned if I haven't dropped both the mouse and the keyboard about a billion times on my hardwood floors and they keep working. Batteries last forever in these things, and the mouse works on a ton of different surfaces. I've had this for going on 3 years and it still works awesome. One of the better purchases I've made on amazon. Great for working from the couch or a surface that isn't your desk.
Summary: I would give this product a 4.5 star, but since I thing it deserves more than a 3.9 rating, I gave it a 5 to help boost its image. I've had the product for over a week now. Overall, I like this combo. I've enjoyed using it. There are a few cons, however. Cons: - Mouse on the bulkier side. I've gotten used to it, but not as light and nimble as my previous wireless mouse. I'm not a gamer, but it probably wouldn't be ideal for gaming. - Keyboard is pretty loud.
