Summary: I bought this mouse after my Logitech G9 started to die. I owned a Steelseries 6GV2 and I-1 glassmat mouspad prior to buying this and I love SteelSeries' products so far. The reviews on this mouse that I've seen have all been positive, which is rare. But yeah, so far the only problem (which is really just an adjustment issue) is stepping down the number of available DPI settings from logitech. If you are looking for a new gaming mouse and have the budget, go for it!
Pros: Great texture. Smooth glide feet. Easy to set up. Profile switching and setup is easy using the LCD on the bottom of the mouse.
Cons: Only having 2 DPI settings is hard to adjust to after using a logitech mouse.
Summary: This little baby have been my mouse for almost 6 months now and all I have to say is that it's a overall great mouse. If you liked the shape of the almighty intellimouse, you 'll fall in love with this great mouse. The build quality from steelseries is very good and it seems it will last forever !! Definitely the best mouse I bought the last 10 years !
Summary: One thing that cannot be aware of before you own it is the mouse won't get your hand sweat stains. I have 2 Logitech G7 and 2 Death-adders. they all have my hand mud after an intensive play. XAI is smooth and clean all the time, which is really unbelievable for me. Until now do I realize the surface material does make huge difference! I won't go back to plastic shell of Logitech or rubber of Razer anymore.
Pros: the God weapon for FPS games; High tech LCD adjustment for everything; Driver-less; Path correction; Durable.
Summary: This mouse is very comfortable. Before I bought this mouse it looked very ordinary and not eye catching. However I have found that this mouse is of high quality and has alot of settings to work with. The thing that I do like is the ability to save the profile and export it to a save place. So if you ever get a replacement you can just transfer the profile.
Pros: -Ability to save & export mouse profile, -Profile stays with the mouse, -comfortable
Summary: The scroll wheel is more of a square design so if you scroll with your middle finger it feels pointing on the tip of your finger. I seem and heard about the firmware with people's mouse where you upgrade and the mouse crashes and it becomes completely unusable, so i didn't upgrade.
Pros: Great material, fit and built quality, bad-ass on board memory with the steelseries display, DPI switcher was flawless
Cons: The shape of the scroll wheel, firmware problem?
Summary: This mouse is very high quality, the material feels very nice and the simplicity and shape are perfect. The software allows easy customization of just about everything with this mouse, the only thing I dislike is the inability to change the button for selecting DPI. One thing to make mention of is that this mouse does not like rough surfaces.
Pros: High build quality, nice materials, great software, perfect tracking
Summary: Simply the best gaming mouse i've used, and I've tried them all. Glides and tracks (almost) flawlessly. Have tried the Lachesis, RAT 9, G700 and this mouse simply trumps them all. Don't be fooled by its simplistic styling. It's all business. Software both onboard and in windows is no BS clean and straightforward / elegant. Quality hardware feel and texture.
Pros: Extremely good tracking, Eliminates all software prediction, Finest attention to detail in driver/software
Cons: Ambidextrous design might not be for all, Wheel click a little too hard to press
Summary: Overall I think this is a fantastic mouse. As a left-handed gamer I've had some difficulty finding a suitable gaming mouse, as many of the options I tried were poor quality or had problems with the drivers. The Xai, however, seems to have it all. The construction feels solid and the drivers are fully featured and reliable. There is one tiny issue - the mouse wheel is a little bit loud when you scroll it.
Summary: This is a decent gaming mouse. I purchased it for my main gaming computer to replace a Microsoft Intellimouse. I've tried a number of wired and wireless mice, mostly Logitech and Microsoft, and they usually have a bulky shape. This Steelseries has a nice palm fitting shape, IMHO better than the bulky Logi/MS mice. You have to install the software to get the most out of this mouse. The software is decent and is what you would expect.
