Summary: I'm rewriting my review because the more I use this mouse the more it grows on me. It feels solid. The front right of the mouse was a little awkward for me at first because there's only room for one finger near the front on the right side. I had to modify my grip on the right side to more of a claw so that my fingers were comfortable and at first it felt awkward and my fingers got really tired. Now they are used to it.
Summary: Upgraded to this after my first gen death adder started to fail. This mouse just is great for anyone with large hands, it also is very easy on the hands for long gaming sessions. I really like the sensitivity options that this mouse has, after you download it from the steelseries website.
Probably a top option for competitive gamers. If you have a laser mouse, swap for the Rival. Trust.

Summary: This is probably the best mouse I've had ever, and I've purchased quite a few mice. The difference between optical and laser mice is incredible. About the Rival - I will go over each aspect of the mouse that I find relevant. 1 - Tracking: This mouse tracks extremely well. Make sure you turn off "enhance pointer precision" in Windows - that will disable OS mouse acceleration. Then go play some CS:GO and aim for the head!
Summary: Best mouse purchase I've made in years. Software for it was easy to install and configure, there's loads of options to mess around with to get the perfect sensitivity, and for people with moderately large/large hands, it's really comfortable. The Avago ADNS 3310 sensor is flawless. It's way more accurate than the Deathadder 2013 and I really haven't noticed mouse smoothing on it either.
Summary: So many mice I find uncomfortable that I stuck with my Logitech MX518 for years and years but when that went out of stock I needed a new mouse. I had tried this at a tradeshow and after using it for 2 months I can say its very comfortable and moves easily.
Summary: I play a lot of FPS shooter games and I have to say this is probably the best mouse I have ever purchased. The steelseries engine lets you customize the settings to the specific way you want it. So many possibilities!
Summary: I came from the DeathAdder 3.5G. I think this mouse is overall better in every way. It is much more comfortable, buttons are better, scroll wheel doesn't stick, dpi switch button is easy to access (not on the bottom of the mouse).
