The rubber sides are starting to "melt" for lack of a better word. While they started out as tiny

Summary: Bought the item in August 2014, it's already showing signs of wear and tear even though I maintain a high level of care for the mouse. The rubber sides are starting to "melt" for lack of a better word. While they started out as tiny, defined dots, the area where my thumb rests on the left side of the mouse and where my ring finger rests on the right side have deep, noticeable grooves where the rubber padding has worn down.
Summary: this mouse felt better in my hands than the Deathadder Chroma testing in paint, 6500 CPI produced tons of jagged/sawtoothy lines might want to use lower CPI in game (i use 400)
Pros: Was looking for a better mouse to replace my Naga for FPS games (big hands + palm/slight claw grip dont mix on the Naga) and since I'm getting into Counter Strike i wanted one with a "flawless" sensor this mouse feels great, the rubbery coating is super grippy even if your hands are a bit sweaty, tracking is amazing (at 400 cpi), i play on the lower sensitivities and i can whip my arm around and pick up/recenter this mouse all day without my arm getting tired the scro...
Cons: my button 4 (larger side button) is indented a little, kind of want to exchange it but it's not a big deal and it doesnt affect the comfort/performance of the mouse there is no indication that you've switched to your second set CPI other than feeling the change in game
Summary: Typical Newegg order, shipped fast, got here quickly and packed beautifully This mouse has given me a totally new perspective of higher cost/higher rated gaming mouse, and why people spend the $. The feel of this mouse is silky, it is designed just a bit different than standard mice, and where my hand gets "numb" after a long session of games researching/browsing, with this mouse I feel comfortable and have had no problems.
Summary: Pros: - Size and shape make it fit well in my hand - I like the rubbery finish on the mouse and texture on the sides - Driver software works well without being bloated or cumbersome Cons: - Cord takes a long time to unfold and lay flat - RGB LEDs have a slight blue tint, making some colors come out different than expected All in all, a good mouse and the cons are all incredibly petty.
Summary: I had been using my MS Intellimouse Explorer 3.0 for the longest time but the trackwheel finally gave out. I purchased this on the recommendation of a friend and as another reviewer mentioned it was pretty similar to the Explorer. The wheel scrolls smoothly and it feels good in the hand. The software for mapping commands to buttons works well enough. It's also pretty cool how you can change the LED behind the mouse wheel and the logo to virtually any color.
Steelseries makes awesome products and the Rival is nothing short of awesome

Summary: Steelseries makes awesome products and the Rival is nothing short of awesome! The sensor in this thing in a beast and the feel of it is awesome. This is a palm grip style mouse and feels very good in the hands. I am coming from an mx518 so I needed something that was going to feel close to it. It does feel slightly wider but you get used to it much quicker than other mice on the market. The added bonus of having the color selection for the scroll wheel and icon is nice.
