Summary: I initially rated this a 5, follow up To alleviate the tracking issue, you must have a smooth surface pad; works best on white surfaces. Example of smooth surface = laminated paper or a hard cover book.
Pros: Weights and customizable. Programmable buttons.
Cons: Has issues with tracking on X and/or Y axis. Works best on smooth white surfaces.
Summary: This was my first venture away from Razer mice since I bought my first one around 2001. Even though I was initially extremely very pleased with this mouse, over time the true durability and flaws came out.
Pros: Fully adjustable in nearly every direction (and weight) makes for a nice feel under your hand (until parts wear out). Cable is sturdy and well insulated. On the fly sensitivity and a sniper button make switching between tracking aircraft and precision sniping shorter than your respawn time.
Cons: Palm rest is barely held in place by a spring loaded arm attached with a single screw. After about 6 months of use, the screw kept backing out causing the rest to slide freely creating a horrible user experience. I changed to a less comfortable palm rest (which is now encountering the same issue)...
Summary: Does not work as fast and I cant use all the features because the drivers cause the mouse to tweak out. the solution is uninstall the drivers and use it as a plain mouse. Thank you support. Still great customization so two stars.
Summary: Overall a good mouse, just make sure to know the warranty and know where to get it RMA'd.
Pros: The functionality is great. I live being able to scroll the thumb mouse wheel for various things between games, and the two thumb buttons for Ventrilo, though I never use precision aim. Ergonomic too, I really like the design.
Cons: After about 4-5 months the mouse cuts off every once in a while. It gets more frequent over the course of two months to now. I haven't done anything to it to damage it. If this weren't the case 5 eggs, or stars, or whatever.
Summary: bought it for the size and on recommendation from a friend. was very happy with it. but not long after I got it I had to RMA it. they were cool about it and took care of it quickly, which was great. however at 8 months the second one is shot. 1st mouse lost it's vertical movement.
Pros: great feel to it, love the adjustable weight, and bought it for the adjustable palm and interchangeable pinky rests. If you have very large hands like I do this thing will make the pain from long hours at the computer go away.
Cons: it dies very quickly, to much money for something that must be replaced so often.
Summary: If you want to use the "precision Aim" button for anything you need the Rat 7. Anyone without Gigantic hands will need to adjust the thumb rest and that only comes with the rat 7 and 9. It is also worth noting that the precision aim button is not typically used for aiming.
Pros: Still has some remnants of the REAL RAT 7. An ergonomic dream, but certainly not worth the price you pay. Now using the classic logi g9x.
Cons: The original manufactuers of this mouse were bought out by a terrible company with no customer service. They now charge more for the mouse, put dumb cat scratch logos on the mouse AND skimped on the accessories case that cyborg used to ship. Now you store your spare grips and pinky rests in the c...
Pros: Nice feel, very adjustable to fit any hand and weight preference. Feels very solid.
Cons: Very erratic performance. Often will jump around during game play, which is exceptionally annoying. The scrolling isn't very smooth, very jerky. Have tried many different mouse pad, driver updates, cleaning, etc. nothing seems to help.
Summary: The mouse itself is not half bad. From the moment that I opened the package about 2 years ago I was impressed on how you can customize the product to your own satisfaction. Then comes the manufacturing defects. The screw on the thumb part had a sharp burr. Enough to be an annoyance when gaming.
Summary: I have to say that this mouse is Ok at best. I had read reviews that claimed it broke easy and wasnt as high quality as expected but I ignored them. Shame on me lol.
Pros: I like how the mouse is shaped and weighted. The customization was exactly what I wanted.
Cons: The durability of this "gaming" mouse is severely lacking. I bought the mouse in Feb of 20012 and for about a month now my right click has been malfunctioning. It works intermittently at best. I would understand more if the left click went out, but the right? that is not used nearly as often.
Summary: Use the mouse approx. 2-4 hours a day at most.
Pros: Great For all gaming purposes. Mouse has multiple buttons great ergonomically design and interchangeable pieces. But you already know the pros if you have looked this far into getting one.
Cons: I have had the mouse for just under a year. I would consider myself a casual gamer; and a avid computer user. This mouse has had several issues with the optics that move it since I got it. Sitting at 11 months and it finally gave out. completely. No mouse movement. All other buttons are still goi...
