Summary: I wanted this to be as nice a mouse as it seems it would be, however all the things that are supposed to make it great are exactly the things that made it terrible. The interchangeable pinky rests were of poor quality, and specifically the one I wanted to use didn't even fit on the mouse (It literally had the wrong holes drilled and could not be attached).
Summary: I purchased this originally before Mad Catz bought out Saitek and thus took over this brand. It works great and is sturdy and awesome. I've dropped it hundreds of times (eek) and a piece of plastic has split but it just makes the thumbrest slide without needing to use the adjustment screws. Why the 1 star review? I've purchased 3 more of these mice after Mad Catz took over. this was over about 2 years. I have gotten 3 replacement units as well.
I probably won't by another from this manufacturer.

Summary: The mouse started out very nice. Customization, lots of options and very precise. Loved it and it performed well for a while. However, around September 2013, the left mouse button began to stick, causing it to double click often. This caused issues when doing anything. Then a month later, the plastic frame holding the left thumb rest broke, causing the thumb rest to move. Furthermore, the little piece that broke is still attached and swings out if I lift the mouse.
Summary: some of parts of this mouse were broken at once i bought it, but it isn`t all. i`ve got another problem: the mouse pointer regularly freezes and it kills me. Just horrible!!! NOT RECOMMENDED!!
Really LOVE the mouse itself but hate how unreliable, low quality and crap warranty support is with it . . .

Summary: Cool looking, feels great in Your hand. That's about it. Don't buy ANY product that has less than 3 years warranty. This mouse started crapping out almost like clockwork the same month after the 1 year warranty expired . . . when You're talking about a $100 mouse, You better offer at least a 3 year warranty Mad Catz. Mouse started "double clicking" while single clicking. Then it started to just "FREEZE" . . . it would work for a few minutes and then just stop.
Defective product - Took my RMA and never contacted me back! Never recieved replacement!

Summary: I was really excited to get this mouse- I have been a big fan of Saitek for a while and Mad Catz is owned by the same group now. I have never been more disappointed by a company's product or their support. I used this mouse for about 3 months and never got used to it, and switched back to my old mouse.
Summary: I purchased two of these mice, one for me and one for my son as Christmas presents. We had both read the glowing reviews in magazines like PC Gamer about how comfortable and uniquely customizable these mice were. My son said he had a friend who had one and he loved it as well, but there was one caveat. My son had some experience with other items made by Mad Catz. He said they are known for their crappy quality and lack of sturdiness.
Summary: After owning this mouse for quite some time, I have to say that it's junk. I own the RAT7 wired one. The mouse has started to not track laterally, I have to pick it up and blow on the sensor for it to work again. In a FPS game or even surfing the net, this can get quite annoying and not part of what I paid for! This mouse, innovative and customizable as it might be, is made of inferior parts internally...
Summary: I just received my Cyborg R.A.T.7 gaming mouse today (5/21/2012) and just opening the box itself was promising feeling. The box was sturdy and well designed and most packaging this well crafted means serious business. The mouse itself is very sturdy, it feels like I can drop it a few times and it can handle a beating although I don't intend on doing so. Since I haven't use it very long I'll be able to give a better in-depth review within a week or so. So far so good!
