Summary: I purchased the mouse back in March. After about 6 months time, the thumb rest broke. I opened a warranty case with cyborg/madcatz about the mouse, and exchanged about a half dozen emails back and fourth with the company. Once we got to the point of the RMA address and number, I never heard back from the company again. I replied, no response. Now in early January, I've opened a new case hoping that would help.
Summary: I purchased this item in Sept of 2011, and it stopped working in Dec 2011. I have had an open ticket with mad catz / cyborg with 0 response for 2 weeks. I tried calling customer support, waited on hold, only to be disconnected several times. The live support always show offline. If you like to waste money, by all means, purchase this item. I am sending the item back for a partial refund to amazon, at least they know what good customer support is all about.
Summary: I had the mouse for about 1 month before the mouse drift started happening as described in many of the other posts and on the net. That is fine, some products have problems. What is not acceptable is that it has been over 30 days and I cannot get a response from their customer service. Do not buy this product. P.S. Yes, I updated all drivers, service packs, etc.
Summary: It was a great mouse for 6 months but now my left click does not function at all. It started about a week ago where I had no 'click' feedback from my mouse and now suddenly today it stopped working. I only game from time to time now since I am busy with uni and I use my laptop for the most part. Now I can't even procrastinate with this since I can't play any games.
Summary: When i first used the mouse, i thought i had found the perfect mouse for pc gaming. It fit my hand perfectly, fixed my pinkie drag, and even weighed exactly how much i wanted it to wiegh (adjustable weights). Then about 2 months later it just didnt track. The cursor would not move even though the right click and left click still worked.
Solid gaming mouse...Not, not even a year and left click broken -.-
10 April 2013
Summary: -Now- Not even a year and the product is buggered, left click has become completely unresponsive and I've treated cheap mouses poorly that still performed better than this after plenty of use. Absoloutely gutted, pretty much a rip off considering how easy it can break (seriously just look up rat7 gaming mouse problems). -When I first bought it- Pretty good, however it does have it's faults.
Summary: I bought this as a replacement for a RAT 5 which suffered sporadic tracking problems. I thought I was unlucky and received a one off faulty product however the RAT 7 suffers the same problems the tracking can stutter, the mouse cursor can move randomly to no move at all. Just a quick google search reveals that this is not a one off issue as many people have reported the same problems.
Summary: 1- The adjustable palm rest, the clip is faulty and of a poor build standard, the clip mechanism doesn't even work, i cannot adjust the 'length' of the mouse or even change it for one of the other pads. 2- The adjustable thumb rest is awful. I wanted it on a wider set to fit my hand, however no matter how much you tighten the bolt, the thumb rest is still moveable... Overall the quality of this product seems inadequate for the amount of money you pay for this.
Summary: Unfortunately I cannot review the quality of the mouse as I recently bought the albino edition on ebay. A guy had it for reviewing purposes and sold it on, everything looked perfect. I fine tuned it to my hand, loved the quality of the box, loved the mouse. However, I never got to use the mouse. I plugged it into my gaming rig and the electricity never responded from the usb end.
