Summary: When I received it and healed it it felt too big for my hand, I have a large hand, wear XL vinyl gloves, but still I guess I got used to holding my mouse with 4 fingers and let the pinky loose in mid air. After trying this wired "gaming mouse" I started to consider going wireless gaming because: A wire could get in the way and looks less tidy Honestly, did you notice a difference between the performance of a good wireless mouse and a wired one? HONESTLY.
Summary: The mouse itself feels great, performs well and is a great gaming mouse. The driver software is tight and looks good. But the onboard profile saves take forever and I bricked my mouse once already just by saving a button configuration change. I had to default the whole mouse. But not after trying to reach tech. support. No phone number on their website - big surprise.
Summary: Like I said in the cons the software lacked features that I would like to see, Like the ability to program the left and right mouse button, An auto fire macro or the ability to make one,Theres a lot of useless macros that most people would never use, But as a FPS shooter I feel it lacking.
Pros: Good hardware design, cool lights , comfortable ,
Cons: The software, Takes to long save, Lacks features I would like to see as a FPS player, Like the ability to program the left and right mouse button, Would like to see an autofire macro included or the ability to create one,, The price considering it's missing these features., The first one died after 5 mouses had to RMA it.
Summary: I have bought two other mice and this one is the winner finally. I started off with an Anker gaming mouse, if your 6'4" and have massive hands (no offense intended) its great but for pixie hands it's a no go that was mouse 1 fail... then I thought well okay i'll buy a really expensive mouse so I got the razer naga on sale it was possibly the most uncomfortable mouse ever made...
Summary: Mouse wheel broke after two weeks of use. Roccat is located in Europe if you buy this product i'd suggest you to buy the extended warranty with it if you want good and fast service from NCIX. Otherwise you will get none. I got it for christmas and it broke a couple of days after the 30 days warranty luckily NCIX accepted to replace it.
Decent mouse with one dealbreaking flaw (might not matter to you!)
6 February 2012
Summary: I haven't owned this mouse for a very long time, nor have I playtested it extensively, as I gave up on the mouse as soon as I realized there is one major downfall that is a dealbreaker for me: The side buttons CANNOT be programmed to act as a modifier key alone. They can ONLY be programmed as a modifier + keystroke. For example: I want one side button to be Left Control. The Roccat Kone XTD software does NOT allow this - it MUST be ctrl + another key.
Summary: With my current low quality mouse pad, the Kone seems to be really unstable when moving, but works without a mouse pad (must do some investigation). Sometimes, the cursor will move itself. Build quality is decent, but seems too light for my likings. However, the driver is exceptionally good!
Pros: Great customization, Nice lighting, Comfortable
Summary: Great product!! Sadly though after using it for 5 or so days I decided to take it with me to a friends... Decidedly the clicks of the mouse will not register on my pc along with all my profiles resetting and not being able to change them at all. However mouse movement and cursor functionality works still.
