Excerpt: The TRON: Legacy Mouse from Razer is inspired by the movie and it seems to have done the original and the sequel justice. If you're a true fan you'll immediately spot the details of the finger-scroll being similar to the lightcycle's wheel. Looking at connectivity, it's 100% reliable since it's a wired mouse. This is a con in my book since we are living in a wireless age and I am a laptop user, there was too much cord cluttering up my desk.
Conclusion: Personally, after using this mouse for over a week, I can compare it with the ROCCAT’s KOVA that this. At first, they both may be similar but this looks and feels even more cooler to use while the KOVA looks as if it’s a stealth mouse going for a Bomb run at the Gulf Coast. Even though with a high price tag of a 130$ for the bundle, it’s a pretty good deal as you’re getting a both left and right handed mouse with none of the drawbacks.
Excerpt: Razer leaves for a moment the usual design inspired by the snakes to dedicate a line of products (mouse, keyboard and mat) to fans of the Disney film Tron. The challenge was not easy, because it was necessary to complement the quality of Razer to purely commercial products that would allow itself to plunge into the cold but lively atmosphere of the digital film. At the same time the product was Tron fascinate those who do not even know what it is. How did it go?
Conclusion: While the mouse did look a little small the first time I held it, a far cry from the Mamba or the Lachesis for instance, it quickly became very comfortable in my hands. The mouse mat on the other hand comes to a comfy 290x207x3mm which is good enough for normal usage as well as just about big enough for some proper gaming sessions.
Conclusion: It’s a wired mouse in a wireless age. If it was anything else other than being built for the movie Tron: Legacy , by Razer, and built as a gaming mouse with a proper sensor, I would have dismissed it right away. But for $100 (which at this time of writing, is back ordered) it’s very, very much worth every dollar in a Benjamin. And it lights up and makes cool noises too! Who can hate that (I can think of a few actually)?
Pros: Superb 5600dpi 3.5G sensor., It’s for Tron: Legacy ., It has lights that stay on the entire time of usage (can be turned off through settings)., Cool sounds when booting up., Design.
Cons: It’s completely built of out plastics., It’s wired only., Completely built out of plastics (a bit of rubber other than the finger-scroll should have been added)
Excerpt: It’s not that this mouse was created by Razer, a company well-known for their gaming products, that makes it what we consider to be the best mouse of 2010. It’s not the braided seven foot long USB cable, or the “BZZZzzzTtt FOOOOOMMM” noise this mouse makes when you plug it in and it powers itself on, ready for action on the Game Grid.
Summary: We admire Razer for the lengths it's gone to in making this more than just a cash in, it's a proper tribute. Unless you're in it for the prettiness though, we'd recommend another mouse for serious gamers.
Pros: Mouse mat trails are ingenious, Still manages to include all the Razer mouse config trimmings despite being a movie tie-in
Cons: Annoying sound every time you start up or plug the mouse in can't be turned off, Floaty feel, isn't as accurate as other gaming mice
