a joke

Benjamin B., Newegg
8 November 2015
  • Summary: I'm never buying a Razer product again
  • Pros: it was nice for awhile
  • Cons: Inexplicably broke after 8 months - suddenly my cursor is "wobbly" and I can barely click the x to close a window. I have never had a laser mouse break before in my life, never mind an $80 one. Has a big annoying bright green light on top of it that pulses on and off. You have to install some spe...

Seemed like a good idea, instant regret.

Wesley Sparks, Amazon
5 July 2015
  • Summary: I thought I would get another Razer mouse as I always have and this one looked like the best bet to replace my old mouse. From the moment I started using this mouse I knew I hated it.

I hate this mouse

Kasey C., Newegg
10 May 2015
  • Summary: I have contacted support many times about this mouse and they just tell me to recalibrate it. I do that and that seems to fix the lag on start up but not the connection issue. On my times I have told friends how much I hate this mouse and how much trouble I have had from this mouse.
  • Pros: When it works it seems to work on many different surfaces, it fits my left hand.
  • Cons: This mouse is TERRIBLE, customer service is TERRIBLE. I only use this mouse with my PC and I also have a macbook that I carry around all the time. This mouse has made me use my PC much less, the reason why is I always have to unplug and replug my mouse in every time I boot up my PC. Than most of ...

horrible customization

Chris V., Newegg
29 December 2014
  • Summary: returning this immediately as no ability to set specific DPI to a button is a deal breaker, a major oversight in the synapse software. but i am sure razer gave it the seal of approval as is anyway.
  • Pros: ergonomic shape and overall comfort is good.
  • Cons: the synapse software is major let down. as bad as the lachesis software is, it offers more functionality. the on-the-fly sensitivity actually works with the mouse wheel, can bind a button to a specific DPI not this clutch press and hold which would be nice in addition but alone is inadequate and ...

  • Pros: ergonomic shape and overall comfort is good.
  • Cons: the synapse software is major let down. as bad as the lachesis software is, it offers more functionality. the on-the-fly sensitivity actually works, the the DPI increments are units of 50 not 100 (synapse), can bind a button to a specific DPI not this clutch press and hold which would be nice in ...

Bad software - DPI = speed

pelesl, Amazon
11 October 2014
  • Summary: Requires you to create a log-in to their cloud-based server before you can configure the mouse. I was having issues with mouse accuracy and so a friend recommended I buy a gaming mouse. Razer being so famous for them.... First, DPI actually means speed ratio.

... about your privacy then this will be a very good mouse for you

Chris, Amazon
10 October 2014
  • Summary: If you don't care about your privacy then this will be a very good mouse for you. Razer makes good quality products from a hardware perspective. I have had Razer mice in the past and loved them. I failed to research this mouse properly.

Cloud Mouse Software...?

Gene M., Newegg
21 August 2014
  • Pros: The mouse itself is very nice. I like ambidextrous mice because most ergo mice don't have left and right shoulder buttons, and hitting the wrong shoulder button when one of them is mapped to "throw grenade" can be bad.
  • Cons: The software. To configure the stupid thing you have to install their cloud sync software and make an account. I need to create yet another login/password combo to use a stupid mouse. You can't create profiles and play with button mappings until you've done this. I would not have bought the mouse...

Middle mouse button failure.

Kierwynn, Amazon
21 July 2014
  • Summary: Loved it when I got it in March, never used the scroll wheel / middle mouse button in games, but within a few hours of playing Cross last night and using the middle mouse button (default keybind) to switch suit modes, it gave out. Now it responds to maybe one in ten clicks.

Don't buy any Razer product.

Li Pei, Amazon
29 May 2014
  • Summary: For years, the Razer mouse is a good choice for gaming and general use. Well, not anymore. Now, with the creepy design of its driver, these mice become worthless. First, in order to use this mouse, you must have another mouse which is not Razer to download the driver and finish the install process.
