Middle mouse button failure.
21 July 2014
Summary: Loved it when I got it in March, never used the scroll wheel / middle mouse button in games, but within a few hours of playing Cross last night and using the middle mouse button (default keybind) to switch suit modes, it gave out. Now it responds to maybe one in ten clicks. I won't eve begin to speak to how bad razer synapse is, everyone already knows it Sucks.
Summary: For years, the Razer mouse is a good choice for gaming and general use. Well, not anymore. Now, with the creepy design of its driver, these mice become worthless. First, in order to use this mouse, you must have another mouse which is not Razer to download the driver and finish the install process. This mouse can't be used until the driver is installed. Can't used!!!!!!!!!!!
Summary: 8 months and it just plain stopped working. This is my third try at Razer, the other was a Razer Lachesis and it failed after 1 month. The replacement lachesis failed after 3 months. Stick it where the sun shines Razer! I'm done with you! I have logitechs that are 5 years old and still going, go with them people. Razer is the biggest ripoff in gaming.
Summary: I bought this way back in December 2012, when I wanted to move away from my mouse and the acceleration issues and go all out with a good gaming mouse with proper drivers like a gaming mouse should. Unfortunately, after shooing the Taipan, I ended up regretting my purchase. The driver and hardware work as I would expect, and performs just fine, but it's the Synapse 2.0 software that is just killing the entire experience. I am running Mac OS X 10.6.8 on a Macbook Pro.
Summary: The synapse software is awful. It constantly quits controlling the extra buttons. Ill either have to restart the software or the computer in order for the extra buttons to work properly. This happens about 2-3 times a week. The original mouse started skipping to the top left corner of the screen every time I moved it so I called up razor. The gentleman said it was defective and needed to be sent back. He just needed the standard receipt and some info.
Summary: For the first month this product was great. I purchased it to replace my aging Razer Copperhead, and at first I loved it. When it works, it is fantastic. However, now the mouse does not work from a cold boot or standby forcing me to unplug and replug it in to get it working again. Ok, so I got a bad one. No big deal right, it happens? Just request replacement under RMA. Oh no, this is where the process becomes convoluted and absolutely unacceptable.
Summary: I am writing this review after using this mouse for 1.5 years. First of all its a wrist mouse not a finger mouse and gives you a complete control over the mouse and feel very comfortable while using it. However, its not best mouse if you are looking for a long life mouse. I play 2-3 hours of games daily and the left click doesn't work very well. not worth purchasing only for 1.5 years. Hope you find my review worth.
Summary: Product claims "Synapse 2.0" is mac compatible, however it is unstable and repeatedly loses my settings when not causing my computer to crash. This has happened with two different mac computers over a period of eight months and multiple patches of the software, Razer does not seem to be committed to making the software stable and functional on platforms other than Windows.
