Outstanding mouse, poor software

Chad W., Newegg
6 July 2014
  • Summary: The Razor software isn't fantastic. On Windows 7 64 bit. I have the most up to date version of the software yet it continuously asks me to update. When I run the update, it tells me I have recent software and closes. Pop-up goes away for a few hours then returns.
  • Pros: The control of this mouse is outstanding. The customization is phenomenal and really easy. There are multiple standard settings that work very well. The DPI on this sucker is way high and makes gaming a thrill.
  • Cons: Software.

Not Good for Finger Grip

Brandon S., Newegg
21 February 2014
  • Summary: Great mouse if you use a palm grip, and it has cool artwork on it.
  • Pros: Very high DPI, on the fly DPI adjustability, tracks on lots of surfaces once calibrated, Razor software allows for lots of custom settings.
  • Cons: Unfortunately I returned this mouse because it was not comfortable for me. I use a finger grip (Kind of a modified claw grip) and the buttons on the left side of the mouse dug into my ring finger (right handed). If I used a palm grip it was fine, and actually quite comfortable. But while gaming, I use the finger grip and it just did not work out for me. Oh, and it does have a glossy finish, so if you hands sweat a lot, avoid it. This is only the case for the BF4 editi...

BF4 MOUSE

Winston E., Newegg
13 December 2013
  • Pros: My accuracy has greatly improved for fps games now. Now i can aim more slowly and accurate with this mouse. sure you can do this with any avg mouse (ive been using a normal mouse for gaming) but it doesnt let you be able to aim so smoothly. The art design is beautiful on this mouse also the side grips feel incredible. I play on 1600 dpi and im loving this mouse

Replacement BF2142 Mouse

Newegg
13 December 2013
  • Summary: The 8200 DPI is something new, use 5200 DPI and lower for most of my life, can't wait to get use to it. Also sensitivity adjusting is great, I found the area I like it at, not to fast and not to slow. 5 Egg's for the fabric cabling, trust it better than the plain o' rubber stuff that most use.
  • Pros: Awesome Design, comes with the fabric cabling, has a glossy finish on it so the paint doesn't chip off, the mouse wheel lights up and and easy to use, and it has the buttons! Fits well with my big hand.
  • Cons: Buttons on the left are Okay, right side however are a little annoying at first - I have to get use to them. Miss-clicking them is really easy to do, and sucks if you are surfing the web and click em, then it takes you back a page. Also has no counter weights like the Battlefield 2142 Logitech Mouse, but I am fine with that.

Know how to hook it up

Benjamin W., Newegg
27 November 2013
  • Summary: - Comes with razer dogtag for BF4. Definitely a rare tag.
  • Pros: - Highly adjustable in Synapse software. Most complete setup period. - 8200DPI is ridiculously high. On a 2560x1440 monitor playing games, I use about half that DPI. Even that boosted my kd ratio when aiming down sight in BF4. - Lefty and righty use. - More customizable buttons than you'll need.
  • Cons: - This DPI is so high, it is a mouse that will not work properly in most KVM. I have an expensive nice KVM and it doesn't work through it. Prepare to hook this up to your gaming PC only.

Amazing Mouse

Raymond H., Newegg
13 November 2013
  • Summary: I've gone from a Deathadder 3500 to this, and so far I'm impressed. It's responsive, fast, and perfectly sized. The Deathadder malfunctioned after 3 months of use (the closest side button caved in). I liked the feel of the Deathadder, but this mouse is much better, because I'm one of those gamers that likes to palm, but will claw instinctively when I get in the action. All In all, I love the mouse. I'll see how it holds up and do another review.
  • Pros: Great, ergonomic feel that fits right in your hand, and allows for both palm and claw gripping. Sensitive laser sensor that doesn't have acceleration or bad lift-off distance. Perfect for getting on target around 2000-2200 DPI. Ambidextrous. Not that it really matters, but I guess it's cool to have. Plenty of programmable buttons.
  • Cons: I took an egg off because of the plain fact of that there are right side forward and back buttons. I get that it's an ambidextrous mouse and they're gonna be there, but they're annoying and need to be disabled if you don't want to accidentally click them. The orange slash below the LMB doesn't light up. Would have been a cool addition.
