Summary: Using this for 4 years, I am used to having the buttons on the side. I thought of purchasing the newest version, the Chroma, but that has its own long list of issues. I am curious about the Corsair Schimitar but I never seen any new, in-depth reviews of it.
Pros: When it was working, it was WORKING. Smooth and fast! Responsive buttons on the side. Perfect for MMOs. I am not going back to a regular mouse. I would use this mouse for other games as well, Star Craft, Battlefield, even computer macos.
Cons: Where to begin? Well, to be fair, it has been over FOUR YEARS and I am still using this mouse. 1. Wireless mode is a joke. Battery life is about two hours. Charging is intermittent. 2. Double-clicking is setting in. 3. Every once in a while, my mouse cursor will not go above a certain line. It wi...
Summary: Amazing mouse. Great response. Love the side buttons and the grips. Overall, 5/5 stars! "But Nick, why is it only 2 stars" Well great question. You see, the catch with this marvelous mouse is it is a WONDERFUL product....IF it works. My mouse worked on wireless for about 2 weeks.
Summary: The RMA process is disappointing, as other have noted. I don't have much to add to what others have said about the poor durability and poor customer support over at Razer. People who give this device 5 eggs have done so because theirs hasn't failed yet, because it's worth 5 eggs before it fails.
Pros: Great mouse when it works. I couldn't be happier with its functional performance.
Cons: This device lacks the kind of durability and support I would expect of a product that costs this much. I paid full price for this thing on Razer's own website, and for that, I got a great mouse that didn't survive the warranty period. Two months before the manufacturer's warranty expiration, the ...
Summary: I would recommend Logitech products if you're looking for long lasting gadgets.
Pros: If you want to be great in MMO's then this is the mouse for you. When it works its the best on the market due to all the buttons.
Cons: I've owned two of these mouses. The first one I turned in after a few months due to double clicking issues. Then the next one lasted me a litle longer but now its having right clicker mouse problems. It comes lose in game when holding it down to turn. They don't make things these days to last long.
Summary: The Razer people have failed simply put, lack of thought of placement and ergonomics adjustment for the different sizes of hands for the series players. It is a great disappointment to see this from Razer.
Pros: Able to program and many buttons and other features
Cons: Buttons, no feed back for which button you are pressing placement to close to bottom, size are too small, some are hard to find and angle difficult to get easily, bottoms button pressing making movement rubbing thumb against mouse pad . Design ergonomics, thumb and two last fingers are not lifted...
Summary: I wouldn't be writing this review if Razer simply accepted my inside-two-year warranty request. Or maybe if I hadn't had to RMA the mouse pretty much the day I got it for doubleclicking as well. And now it's doing it again. Listen to the internet. It's not just "happening to other people".
Pros: Highly accurate, runs well on any non-translucent surface, glides well, precision buttons* (read cons), tons of side buttons, braided-covered cable never tangled, wired/wireless operation convenient for using as media center, glow effect is gorgeous. Remapping buttons was easy* (read cons related...
Cons: Had to RMA the day it arrived for doubleclicking, the new one turns 2yrs old in August 2014 and it's doing it again. Razer warranty service seems to deliberately attempt to annoy the customer out of RMA. Inconsistent RMA behavior with various retailers (discovering on impact that their relationsh...
Summary: I first had my original RMA'd through Newegg, but the second had the same problem. I then got one from a local retailer, same problem. Each time I conversed extensively with Razer support, and each time they determined the mouse was defective.
Pros: Good weight, feels solid, programmable lighting, programmable buttons.
Cons: Wireless problems. I have gone through 4 of these mice and had the EXACT same problem on multiple machines. The mouse works great in wireless mode at first, then about 30 minutes to 1 hour of use (sometimes sooner), the wireless will start to misbehave. It will essentially hang up or pause on you...
Summary: This is probably the most comfortable mouse I've ever had. The buttons never failed on me and it still works despite having some pretty hard falls three years into its life. However, it's still a razer.
Pros: Comfortable with multiple rests for ring and pinky finger in-box Twelve thumb keys Customizable color palette Sturdy
Cons: Wireless lasted about six weeks before crapping out and skipping Razer customer support Razer software support
Summary: Bought September 30th I gave this mouse the highest praise I could, first impressions would have been over 5 Stars. Anyone who saw it, asked about it, and I showed them the possibilities. I Showed them my personal key-sets, and macros. Died in little over a month.
