Razer outmaneuvers the big guys with the sleek, customizable and comfortable Mamba gaming mouse. It’s a good thing for Microsoft that they sent us the SideWinder X8 wireless gaming mouse before Razer could get its Mamba wireless gaming mouse into our clutches. We thought Microsoft’s product was pretty good (and awarded it a score of “8” on March 25 ), but the Mamba is superior in nearly every respect. Read more

For Razer, the Mamba is THE high-end mouse. That said, it's a long way from being our favourite. It's difficult to control with too much of the weight at the back of the mouse. The system for switching from wired to wireless operation is much less practical than Microsoft's. Read more

Even semicompetitive PC gamers can get away with a less expensive mouse, but for the most dedicated, the Razer Mamba provides unmatched precision whether it's connected directly to your PC or set free in wireless mode. If Razer fixed a few design and features issues, we'd feel better about the price. Read more

When looking at a Razer product very high expectations tend to be thrown up. This remains the case with the Razer Mamba. Claiming to be the fastest mouse in the world, both wired and wireless this mouse has a lot to live up to. During testing, the mouse both wired and wireless showed no noticeable difference between the two methods of input. The Mamba remained responsive at all times, providing an accurate and pleasurable tool for gaming. Read more

The transceiver is connected via the USB cable and works as a charging dock and as the wireless station. It has a large sync button in the middle, and while it looks simple, the trademark light blue glow around its base makes sure that it carries a sense of stylish as well. The USB cable can be plucked out from the transceiver and be fitted directly into the mouse to provide users with an alternative way to charge the mouse while also transforming it into a wired device... The Razer Mamba feels just right in your hand, like an extension of the natural curve when you rest your hand palm down on the table.  It’s there, but it isn’t foreign.   I’ve switched my mouse several times in the 20 years or so since I switched from a trackball.  That’s right… I used to rock the trackball, but back then it was cool to have a trackball and you know that’s all I really have to say about that :) Writing a review on a mouse is kind of Read more

OK, I own three DeathAdder mice (also from Razer), and the look and feel is "almost" identical to the Mamba. With the DeathAdder I get 1800 dpi, which is no slouch. I have had NO complaints at all, which is why I own three. I used to own two, and then I bought the Mamba. I returned it the next day because it is so similar to the DeathAdder, at DOUBLE the price (picked up the third DeathAdder for $60). Read more

I actually bought mine from a different vendor than Amazon, but same product same thoughts, and it seems pertinent to mention it. A few months into owning the mouse the side cushion for the thumb had started to come off at the front and back corner, okay, not a big issue as I can fix it with some alcohol and double sided tape. Soon after that last issue, a new one arose; the side buttons would double or triple register. Read more or see product

this product is recommended for any kid of gaming, in my opinion. I play a ton of different games (from FPS to MMO to RTS) and the mamba works beautifully for every one of them! the only downside I had was that I have to purchase an extended USB hub so that I can charge the mouse on the wireless dock while the comp is powered down, but that's no big deal. overall, this mouse is definitely worth the price! It's okay, but the number of flaws is inexcusable especially for this price. I preferred my old Logitech G7 which, while was not quite as physically robust, didn't suffer from any of these issue and much more thought seems to have gone into it. From my experience with their products and their technical support, Razer seems to be a company where they think of a few key features that people may want, then rush out a product and don't care about solving any of the issues... I got the Razer Mamba the other day. I was wireless mouse naysayer until I got the Mamba. I thought since it had the wired/wireless connections, I could just use it wired if I didn't like the wireless connection. The Razer Mamba's wired connector is much better then the Sidewinder X8 magnet connector. The Mamba's USB connector locks into place and connects to a mini USB port under the scroll wheel. So that why I chose the Razer Mamba over the Sidewinder X8. Read more

The only problem I've ever had is that the scroll wheel will squeak every now and then, but Razer said they would replace the mouse if i wanted to sent it in. Read more

*recently acquired a mamba for myself, see the bottom of this review for update** The Razer Mamba mouse might as well be called "The Mammoth" it would have been a more fitting title. The thing is a beast. Pictures on the internet truely do not do it justice, it has to be seen in the flesh to be fully appreciated. I bought one as a gift for a dear friend of mine. We had to do a whip round because it was so expensive (I paid £80) but it was well worth it. Read more

If you are like me and have to play it out of the box you will lose battery in a couple of hours. Not a problem, plug in the cloth covered cord and play on! The docking stand charges while you aren’t playing. Simple installation. Had to log online to get drivers, had it working in under 5 mins. Side buttons much easier to use then previous corded Razer mice. Fits my hand perfectly. The packaging rivals something apple would come up with and probably added $20 to the price tag.
