Summary: Over the last two years I have owned FOUR Razer Imperator mice. In each case the mouse worked great until the one time I reached for it and a received a huge static shock. We're talking BIG spark between finger and mouse. I have no complaints with Razer regarding the support they provided but imagine the disappointment and frustration of trying this same model four times only to have the same problem with each one.
Summary: Worked well when the mouse actually worked. I like the adjustable side buttons. Fits well for a palm grip. When I first got the mouse, I had a problem in which the mouse would randomly disconnect from the computer. As you might imagine, this is not a good thing when you're in the middle of a gaming session. Thankfully, a firmware update fixed this problem.
Summary: I love this mouse. I've had it for a little under two years now, and it's been a very good mouse. Precise as I can tell, good flow, feels good in my hand (I guess I would say I have small hands). The only issue I had was after a year the left button double clicks nearly every time I click on something...and apparently this is a very common problem. I haven't tried fixing it, but I know there are youtube 'how to's'.
Summary: I actually decided on this mouse to replace my old first generation Deathadder. I actually was disappointed to find that it did not really conform to my hand very well. As some others have complained, if you are loyal to a Deathadder you might not like this mouse. I found the pinky indent to be somewhat uncomfortable for me (because of the positioning compared against my hand) and the thumb indent was too small for my thumb as well.
Summary: I purchased this mouse when I rebuilt my gaming PC. This mouse is absolutely amazing! The breathing lighting effects are subtle and don't blind you at night. The scroll wheel is crisp and responsive. The mouse has an on-the-fly resolution switch, which is great for switching between games and work and school. The wire is braided and protected, and is long enough to reach all the way around my desk to my computer that is sitting off to the side.
Summary: This is one of the best mice I have ever had my hand on. It feels like it was made with love and care. The quality is phenomenal. Ive dropped this mouse over 30 times now and still works like it did when I first took it out of its box. If you are one of those people that skims right past this because of the price, take another look at it. I am one of those people and just ordered it and I'm glad I did.
Summary: I received this mouse as a gift. Right out of the box I had issues with the left click. Almost 10% of the time it double clicks, 5% is doesn't even register. After researching the product I was amazed to find how common this problem was. There should not be such a vital performance error as a common issue in a mouse at this price range.
Summary: This is my first "gaming mouse" so I can't really compare it to others. I will say that it is comfortable and tracks well. The software is a bit wonky and doesn't switch profiles on programs as simply as you think it should. I've had to reset profiles a couple times to get it working correctly again, so not sure what causes that. Was an open box buy from Amazon Warehouse Deals and was in great condition.
Summary: This review is for the previous generation Imperator, so it may not apply specifically, but I still consider it relevant. The mouse is great, until it isn't. Several Razer mice are plagued by the dreaded "double-click issue", check google. (single click registers as a double click, ack!). This happened to mine shortly after the warranty period was up. Customer service said to update the firmware and would not RMA the mouse. Firmware updates...didn't help, obviously.
