Summary: TL;DR: Adjustable lift-off feature is a gimmick and causes tracking issues that must be corrected by manually "re-calibrating" your mouse (even when Auto is selected). Razer used to be great, but they became money hungry and focused on impressing with form over function (form is great, but not at the cost of function). Full Review: I'm sad to report it appears that Razer is going the way of Logitech.
Summary: software that comes with this is awesome and I like how I can adjust the thumb buttons or the LED light up on the wheel and palm. It lost two stars because it feels too light. I like a little resistance with my gaming mouse and this doesn't have it. It needs a way to adjust the weight of the mouse so it feels like I actually have something under my hand.
Razer cords become faulty quickly at connection-point to mouse. 2nd model with this issue.

Summary: This is my 2nd razer mouse. Love the look, feel, and performance. However, this is the 2nd that has the cord connection to the mouse become faulty not long after purchase (the most recent of which, this one, happened after only TWO months of use). It disconnects and reconnects constantly with minimal movement of the cord (which is bound to happen when you are gaming with a gaming mouse...imagine that).
Summary: I love the feel and look of this mouse. However, like a lot of reviewers I'm reading, mine just stopped working 5 months to a year in. I liked the other aspects so much, that I have replaced it three times now and my third one is just now beginning to go the way of the others. The cursor will increasingly start skipping, stuttering, like it's thinking about something and trying to catch up... sometimes it will move on one axis, but not the other. I dunno...

Summary: This mouse has been odd. When it works, it works amazingly. It's very smooth and has pinpoint accuracy. However, despite me using a nice mouse pad (by the same brand, Razer) it has some serious problems getting hung up sometimes. While this only happens once or twice a day, if that, I don't really find that acceptable at all of a gaming mouse.
Summary: I'm on my third Imperator, which doesn't speak too well to the build quality of these mice. The thing is, this is a fantastic mouse when it works, so much so that I keep buying them. One of mine had its wheel go into a freespin, which can be repaired at home, but after a year of moderate use is disappointing at this pricepoint. Another one developed a short in the cord and kept disconnecting/reconnecting. Let's hope the third time's the charm!
Summary: I'm an IT guy, sys admin type, and I destroy mice. Cheap mice wear out. I replaced a Logitech G5 gaming mouse with this one, and I was pleasantly surprised with how well it works, how good it feels, and it is showing no signs of giving up the ghost. Pleased with the product.
Summary: Tried about 5 mice before I finally came across the Razer Imperator and immediately fell in love with it. If you're right handed it's hard to think or a more ergonomic and comfortable mouse. Rather than going on and on about all the things that make it great, I'll mention it's one true fault.
